  1. The whistle blew for half-time and the atmosphere in the away end suddenly increased to a deafening level as Mike entered the arena. I believe the idea was to place a football nearer to the centre circle than your opposite number, at the end of a compelling competition Mike narrowly came second.... but talk about milking the crowd

So that's what the roar was at half time. No one in the food concourse knew what was going on. Melia even ran back up, but didnt have a clue what was happening.

Speaking of him. He was looking for you on saturday, to enquire as to whether they'll be anymore blue or tangerine scarves.

  2. How Easy Was It To Find?

I'd of got lost if i'd of had to use the tube with people who didnt know where to go.

Car Parking. Was It near? Was It Free? Was It Well Policed/lit?

    n/a

    View. Pillar In The Way?

Pillars, with a view that got worse, the further right you went.

Comfort (seating, leg room, does it have a roof etc)

Stood on the steps as I wasnt sitting in that top right hand corner if they'd paid me.

    Toilets.

    No complaints

    Catering (Quality, price, queues)

Food? You call that food? I'd of been better off asking for a peice of bread. I asked for a Burger. God knows what that I got was. It most certainly wasnt a burger. Overpriced by the usual standard football grounds.

Atmosphere From Home Fans, How Condusive Was The Away End To Creating A Good Atmosphere

Could barely hear much, if anything from the brentford fans, even when they scored. Latics fans were quiet for the most part. Not an awful lot to cheer though

    Stewards, Policing

The stewards, and police couldnt deal with a nearly full away end. They shut the gates just after us. Infact if it wasnt for Johnny telling the steward there was only three more of us who needed to get in the away end, then we'd of probably have been thrown straight back out of the ground.

    Anonymous after that.

Pubs, Things To Do Nearby. Is There Much To Do For The Early Arriver At The Site Of The Ground?

4 pubs on the four corners of the ground. They were pretty crap to be honest with you. No atmosphere in either of the two we went in. Only highlight was the bloke with the knitted Brentford jumper.

Overall. Out Of 10, What Do You Feel The Ground Deserves?

One of the worst grounds i've been too for everything concerned really.

    Anything else to offer?

Yeah. Let's hope we never have to go back.

  3. I didn't go to the game so I can't really comment on clarke's performance. To state that clarke, however, had the worse display of anyone when he scored to goals, is a slight exaggeration I think. What about the defence? I haven't seen the goals but I can bet my bottom dollar that they messed up on one of the goals again. What happened to the rock solid defence that served us so well for the majority of the season.

Bring back Porter I say. don't care if he pisses of in the summer anymore I just want someone in there who can bang away the goals.

To state that Clarke had the worst game on the pitch, is the truth though.

No bones about it, he was gash beyond belief. Couldnt even do the basics right, and as for scoring two. One was a penalty, which he nearly missed. The other even my mum could have scored.

As for the defence. Pretty solid, especially Gregan. The lad from Plymouth was the weak link if anything at the back.

    We badly miss Porter.

  4. I know of a few in Bristol and Danny lives in Swindon. Danny his ST holder and goes up each week and is very much a big part of OASIS .... he should be there Sunday so I'll introduce you.

    Mark

Karl is in Bristol isnt he???

  5. I could support my home town team .... Rochdale but that would NEVER happen

Curious as to why you couldnt support your hometown team Mark <_<:)

Every Rochdale born citizen, should have a major liking and soft spot for the dale, just so they can walk around uttering those magic words.

    Up The Dale

    Down The Ale

  6. Ask Frankly, Lees.

I'll be with him..............Just as long as I dont end up drinking that German garbage from an offy, like at Millwall.

A Pint in each is more than do-able.......Unless your a girl who sips there pints. I wont mention any names, but they know who they are

*Note to the Ladies of the forum. Yes, I know full well some of you can put the 'lads' to shame in the drinking stakes. So please dont take the above comment seriously*

  7. Why should i give all the love in my fragile smoke infested heart to Dale?

I would rather be a shaker!

More chance of playing in a higher league as well!

    1) Why would you support a club with an area within the town dubbed, 'Monkey Town'

    2) Look at the League Table. Conference next season *chuckle*

    3) Attendance for Bury's crunch 6 pointer derby at the weekend, against Macc. 2,500 - Massif!

You better hope Latics dont go bust beardy. You'll be talking about winning an FA Cup, no Bury fan alive even went too, as if it happened yesterday

    This Famous Old Club :lol::lol:

  8. How was he to know you are a c*** from Rochdale?:lol:

Takes one to know one I guess Lees :grin:

I wouldnt of minded, but I actually dont think I did anything wrong. Afterall. I'm not the type to abuse away fans am I?<_<

Anyway. Let's not take this thread off topic any further, and get to the real matter about you louts being a load of yobs at the weekend.

  9. Pogs is a LEAGUE 1 KEEPER

Alot of people at Latics seem to forget that very important fact, and think he should be a spider man in goal, with an amazing kicking ability and the reflexes of a god. If he had those attributes which alot criticise him for not doing. He simply wouldnt be at Latics.

All League 1 keepers have flaws in their games. That's why they are at League 1 clubs. Poggy in comparison with league 1 keepers is at the top end of the scale, and easily one of the better ones. His clean sheets to games ratio proves that.

Over the seasons he's been at Latics. He's improved no end to the majority of his game. His Kicking for a start, i remember the time not one Latics player would pass it back to him.........or if they occasionally did, everyone would gasp at the thought of what was about to happen. His shot stopping abilities has always been 2nd to none in this league. His commanding of his box has improved, and everyone knows just how good he is, when he has a back four infront of him he's confident in.

Poggy used to scare the heck out of me when he first came here. Not anymore. I cant think of any other keeper in league 1, i'd rather have than him. Especially when it comes too the opposition having a penalty.

Poggy for a League 1 keeper, is better than anyone we could ever think of bringing in permanantly at this level. (Lee Grant was never going to be Permanant)

  10. UP THE DALE!

*runs for the hills before people start to laugh*

Hardly a suprise though. I guess i'm one of a very select few who'd find it a touch easier than others, seeing as I watch Dale on a fairly regular basis, and have been all over the bloody country watching them. From as far south as Plymouth, to as north as Hartlepool (this season). Similar sort of clubs Latics and Dale in alot of ways

  11. Ah, PC Devine. I've only met that man once. Back of the Rochdale Road End. Mind slips me who we were playing now as it was a few years ago. All I remember is Latics taking the lead. Usual goading between fans over the barriers. I then went to the toilet, and was collared by the entrance and shoved against a wall forcefully, "Right you little s**t. I saw what you and the other little c***s have been doing following the goal. Do it again, and your f***in out." (spitting as he spoke, well growled)

I asked for his name and number, saying my dad may want to have a word. He replied. "You should f***in know who I am. Every c*** in Oldham knows who I am. Now get on your way, and remember what I said."

Jolly Nice Chap he is. :bobby::who:
