Best game I've seen Clarke have for us yesterday, he was absolutely immense. Same goes for Brian Wilson actually. Ripley will rightly get the plaudits but those two were fantastic

Well, that's the last home game for me this season. I've got far, far better things to do with my Saturdays than watch this shower. I've got a recipe for a really ripping lentil soup I want to try out for instance, and could do with clipping my toe nails
Also we're going down, absolutely no doubt about it this season

Ah I just can't be arsed to feel emotions any more

I don't think we'd be doing any worse if we'd picked a team of players from the conference at randomSerious question :
If we'd picked a manager at random from the conference, would we be doing any worse?

I don't want to single anybody out, but I'm going to anyway. Burgess is diabolical

A good few of these players should be playing at Lincoln's level more regularly. Bobbins

I've not heard it said aloud yet, is that the pronunciation or does it rhyme with vain? There's no accent over the E. I don't want to sound like a right fanè if I find out I've been saying it wrongHe certainly doesn't Fane about.
I'll get my coat...

I enjoyed that, a really good game against a well organised Wigan team. First 10-20 minutes I thought we were sloppy, losing most 50-50s and giving Power far too much room in the centre, but the goal really settled us down. It's the first time I've seen any of these players live, and Clarke, Flynn, Fane and in spells Erwin impressed me in particular. I thought Croft was excellent when he came on too. The Millwall result I think most of us saw coming, but it's great for Robinson and the players to get the first win in the bag so early and hopefully BP will be a more optimistic place come Saturday

Yet another crook is just what the club needs at the moment

Bollocks. For Latics of a certain age (i.e. <30) he's as much a legend as EyreseyThere are a few legends in Latics history. Sheridan doesn't come close. Not as a player or as a manager.
-
Yep, he's still a legend in my eyes. And I can't really blame anybody for wanting leave this complete shambles of a football club.
-
I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the box to be fair to him

And otid, the clocks go forward tonight. I think you need to put yours forward about 50 years...

Nobody banned baa baa black sheep. Nobody banned Easter. Nobody banned Christmas. Political Correctness has made life a whole lot better for minority's in this country. I don't see the problem. No sane and balanced person would make monkey noises etc. What I am on about is the leftie firkin interfering bar stewards who ban the singing of baa baa black sheep and insisted on my daughter learning about firkin transsexuals at bloody 9 years of age. Dangerous interfering morons the lot of them.

So anybody who thinks using a term that has been used derogatorily against the Asian population for decades is indefensible and unacceptable is a holier than thou pc :censored: jumping on a 'bandwagon'. Fair enough. If you can't understand why the word paki is unacceptable in any context, you're an idiot. It's as simple as that
I also don't think you understand what a pun is.
-
This is one of the stupidest, most ill-informed things I've ever read. People who don't understand why the word 'paki' is insulting and unacceptable are morons. "Oh it's just short for Pakistani". Jesus Christ. The same kind of people who get angry that they can't say nigger "because black people use it themselves"As i have a life, i've only just seen this thread. A dose of reality is required. The chants are not able to be deemed racist. You may.....or may not....... agree with such chants, but using words that are short form for a nationality (however distasteful they may seem to you) does not make someone uttering them a racist. The word 'Paki' apart from being a short form of the word Pakistani, is a word often used by the Pakistani community, such as in 'Paki power'
Before any of the do-gooders swoon with abhorrence....i personally don't like it....but....it CANNOT be deemed racist without further context. I could go on and on with hundreds of examples but i'll leave you with just one question to consider before you hit the keyboard with your 'defenders of the earth' rhetoric. Most of you will have at some time or other joined in with this one.....
Should everyone who sings "We all hate Leeds" (and its various other forms) be charged with hate crimes?
There are way too many PC wankers (pun intended) waiting to jump on the first 'holier than thou' bandwagon on every internet forum in the world. Get a :censored:ing life or grow up, whichever comes first.
For those who need to know, the vast majority of the Asian population in Rochdale is in fact Bangladeshi, as it is in Oldham
"Loony left" "PC gone mad" etc

It's a common turn of phrase. It's not as if it's used to mock cancer victims for gods sake.I understand and totally agree. It is really inappropriate. Leaves me cold.
And yes, I have lost people to cancer

It's an awful article to be honest, based almost totally on the words of 'sources' and as someone said above, half truths. I think we all know there's something rotten about the club at the moment without reading an article full of hearsay and conjecture

I'm hoping I don't have to witness Reckord, Banks or Taylor in a Latics shirt again. The first two are just appalling footballers, and Taylor is a lazy waste of a shirt. Bin them three off and we'll be fine
