  1. We are on an 8 match unbeaten run yes, this SHOULD bring a few more back. But still we sit 12th in the table...if we were on an 8 match unbeaten run and most of those results were wins (and we sat about 4th-2nd) more would come.

However long term I honestly think the club needs a promotion before people come back full time. I think if we got into the championship season ticket sales would probably double (maybe pushing it, but would increase dramatically). I think our average attendance would increase from about 4.5k to 8-9k due to more latics fans and increased away gates.

  2. Mills hasn't looked the player we had on loan last season but yesterday he was fantastic. Their main outlet is their right winger who is a very good player and will be tough for most full backs in this league but he hardly had a sniff yesterday except one time when Mills dived in. Well played Mills lad.

In short, we should have won yesterday. Had all of the ball, had the chances, just got to stick it away. Defence look rock solid. Wilson is a classy player but far too many times yesterday he chipped a hopeless ball up the line and we lost possession, must have happened 6 or 7 times in the second half. 2 defeats in 17 league games still - Roll on Swindon and County.

  3. I think saturday will be the test, Win that and suddenly a poor start to the season becomes an okay/pretty good start to the season. Confidence will be high throughout too.

Perhaps the team are starting to click? again it would be typical latics to bring us back down to earth on saturday with a home defeat but a win there would see us on a 3 match win streak and most likely be around 12th-9th in the table depending on other results.

Fleetwood set off like a house on fire but their last 3 results have been 2 draw's and 1 defeat, with 2 being at home, so their nothing to be afraid of.

It will be interesting to see what LJ does regarding the team but I would simply swap JCH for Poleon and keep it as it was. The Doncaster performance was very impressive particularly 2nd half where we could (and should) of had 2/3 goals.

I think LJ has learned from last season that making 3/4 changes every game isn't very good and doesn't allow the players to get used to each other (unless you are someone like City, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool who have incredible depth).

There definitely has been a turn of confidence but saturday for me is key, we lose that and suddenly people will think we're destined for the drop again.

  4. Think Winchester (along with Forte) has been our best player (by some distance) so far this season and that's out of position. Today I don't think he was great to be honest but when he caused problems he was picking it up in space in the centre of midfield and actually running at the opposition. He HAS to be put in Centre midfield - none of this on the wing :censored:e, he's not a winger.

The team run round like headless chickens 40-50 yards from goal doing 5 yard passes. 2 family members came today for their first match - they couldn't put it better when they asked "why is there so much hesitation?". We get the ball, look up, see nothing, either pass it 5 yards to the side or 10 yards back to Elekobi/Wilson - rinse and repeat. The players need to realise at times it's okay to run forward with the ball. It doesn't need to be pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass pass (still in defence at this point) then hoof to JCH. It's like we :censored: it when we have the ball
