Interesting to see quite a few teams that we're chasing down the bottom half of this table. 6 points from next 2 games and news that Doyle extends til end of season would be a treat

A goal tomorrow and we match last season's total!
That's an astonishing stat especially given the start we had.
Wimbledon will be tough tho, they are higher than us in the last 6 games form guide

I don't wanna be unrealistic (or ungrateful) but after a catastrophic start and without knowing what players we will have past January, while we have this team and are playing great and scoring, and win the teams coming up til end of December, if we want any chance of a play off push we need to win a lot of these games. Otherwise it could very well be another bottom half finish. However I'm loving life at the moment, keep it up!

Relaaxxx...........chill out..................of course we'll have a GK........what we don't know is if he'll be any good!!!
Shit keepers are more entertaining to watch anyway. It's boring when a keeper catches everything
-
Depends if we have a goalkeeper...
-
Truthfully, I was watching Leicester's games at the end of their winning season. Don't think I sat through a full game last season (may have seen the odd one coz it was on in the pub). Even people who hate football are having to pay ever increasing sky/bt bills so they can recoup the stupid money they have paid for premier league / European football
-
Lookerstandandy, I've stopped watching premier league football because I feel so disconnected with the players and their wealth. I say tax the # out of the players and clubs, all this money is coming out of our TV, phone and internet bills etc.
-
Totally agree with your statement. It's a lot harder to be pissed off at work when you're a footballer tho than some of the shit jobs we have to endure. Luckily, some players do want to play and drop down the league's in order to do so. That decision is getting tougher to make these days tho because of the vast amounts of money that can be earned by not playing! Which is a shame

Would you say the same about an investment banker earning millions in the city making short term decision to line his/her pocket with £millions, even if it meant that the health of the economy was risked?
A footballers choice of team/contract has no affect on the countries economy or people's savings. I'm not sure how you can relate the two, so no I wouldn't say the same about an investment banker gambling with people's money
-
It's been a great game of guess who but we are dangerously close to the first game of the season and we have no keeper. I used to play, I will offer my services for free. Will need someone to take the goal kicks tho
-
I've been thinking about this also. At our level where wages are low (although still much more than we make but not enough to retire comfortably at 35) salary must play an even bigger factor than in Prem. Whereas players moving in the Prem for more money is just absolute greed, at our level it's also about securing your family's future. If that means sitting on a teams bench let's you retire after 10/15 years without any financial worries then it must play a part. But as supporters we obvs want to see players all wanting to play. What I hate is 20 year old Chelsea players nowhere near the first team on 20/30K a week! Why would they want to drop down a league to play and earn a fraction of that with no guarantee they can succeed and work their way back up
-
Have you got a spare 5,000 to throw away then feel free
People are very generous with other peoples money
Its the clubs money and if the club feel they have to pay 5k to give themselves a better chance of winning then i think they should pay it. Its a :censored: rule tho
-
No he's not here to warm the bench and after Tuesday he wouldn't deserve to be dropped.
It will be harsh to drop any of them to be fair. Which is a good situation to be in. But theyre all on loan from bigger clubs and none of them are here to warm the bench so will be interesting. Hope we dont lose amy of them because they are not starting
-
Very good question...
One I'm sure we can all guess the correct answer to.
I hope two u23 teams make the final at wembley and theres about 500 people there to watch it
-
Can anybody tell me where the five players starting from Tuesday night comes from. I can't find the written confirmation of this.
If that is the case then: McKay, Ladapo, Dunne, Burgess & Banks or Wilson would do it.
I would rather py the 5k fine and play our best team. Also what rules do the u23 teams have regarding selection? Do they have the possibility of fines?

Just me thenAnyone for a 3 man midfield of green fane and klok with 3 up top of osei lapaddo and erwin/mckay?

although they are riddled with injuries at the moment.
Wait until klok has finished with them

Ishmael Miller is training with us I believe
29 and never played lower than the championship. 36 goals in 197 appearances tho. Ive never seen him play, anyone know what he is like?
-
It isn't about a honeymoon period for me. I just think the guy is looking and sounding like he has a clue so in the long run I think he will do well.
Normal service in terms of expectations? Wasn't that just survival 3 weeks ago? If he achieves top half this season then I would ne satisfied. I do hope people wont get on his back if mid table is where we end up given our last 7 seasons are 17, 18, 16, 19, 15, 15, 17.
I agree about a striker though.
That record really is poor
-
I would def change it up and give the likes of mclaughlan and osei a game, wilson and banks and the new winger. Only way theyre going to get match fit is by playing. Save green and clarkes legs. Obvs the 11 players on the pitch still need to go for the win but id take a win on sat over a win tonight. A promising league run is more exciting and more likely to get the fans back
-
Conjure up a win against Bradford and the season is on!

We helped Ryan Bertrand to England caps.
And I believe he started Chelsea's winning champions league match against Bayern from left mid
