If you look on Everton forums half them are surprised they released green and still think he could have came good at prem level, half of them are angry they invested a lot in him and he pissed it away. In any case if he screws the nut, should become better than this league. Let's hope he does

I like it. A young manager with modern ideas / tactics who's been in and around players who are at our level. This is the way way to go, whether he is in fact the correct person for this model we have to trust Simon corney. But look back at the comments when Lee Johnson was appointed, people went daft with outrage

2014/15 11th 52 pts 8 games left.

Top 10 finish with 65 pts would show that we have made progress and with our best players all still contracted for next year then we have a chance of building on that again.

I like an earlier suggestion of just attacking each game and going all out for the win!

It's going to be a first time manager for financial reasons. Why get a (small) fee for Lee Johnson just to spend it on the wages of a well known manager. Not going to happen. But as a previous post has mentioned we've had a lot of success from first timers just hope it's the right person

We are the only team I can think of that lets under contract players go for free. Rooney for example (32 goals in 54 games for Aberdeen so far)

I would love scholes to be manager for some excitement, never gonna happen tho.

Have to say after the negative reaction of most, including myself, to Lee Johnson's appointment he has clearly done a good job to warrant such reactions at leaving. Im dissapointed at the compensation, 200k (if it's as much as this) isn't enough. 75k is shocking. If Kelly goes for next to nowt we are back to square 1

I know but we are currently 5th with 43 points, in the championship and league 2 that would get us nowhere near the playoffs. It looks like this year will be the lowest points total needed for a while to sneak 6th

We are losing more games now than at the start of the season but also winning more. Draws are no good now so win 9 lose 8 and I think we will do it

That was nerve wracking. Bradford can also go above us but that excited feeling from earlier in the season is back to stay I think

Was happier with the performance after the last 2 weeks, just feel gutted with a defeat against 10 man bottom side. Other results went our way, just think a win would of set us back on course
