He's took an odd career path. Didn't make it at colchester dropped down the leagues, went to kid harriers didn't quite impress, ended up at Margate and a year later signs for premier league palace!

Do we need another starting striker? I'm happy with Erwin and McKay starting and if osei and Cassidy are reserves then fine. I think a goal scoring midfielder is more important

Hang on, Lafferty has only managed more than 10 goals in a season twice in his entire career. His scoring record in Scotland was worse than Billy Mckay's. Five goals in the last two years! I thought everyone wanted this nailed-on twenty-goals-a-season man?

 

Don't doubt that he has skill, but I'm seeing MICHAEL RICKETTS writ large over this one.

Lafferty was a good player for rangers but he wasn't a goal scorer. McKay scored bags of goals for Inverness, if he was in that rangers team could of got silly numbers of goals

When everyone is saying people don't look fit do you mean match fit and sharp that only comes from playing games? If players are still proper unfit this close to the start of the season I.e. need to to do some more circuits then that is unacceptable surely? A professional footballer should keep himself in top condition throughout the summer, otherwise they shouldn't get paid? Anyways I'm looking forward to the new season ktf

One thing everyone should of learnt from last season and the euros is that if your team is well organised and we'll drilled you can do better than the name sheet suggests

I like what I have seen of Steve Robinson and believe he will do the best with what he's got. I like that we approached him and he isn't a recently retired footballer fancying his chances as a manager coz he has nothing else to do.

A few weeks ago I would of been delighted if you told me our squad would look like this at this stage. However we do need some more top creative players if we are going to have a good go and actually score some goals this year
