  1. Jeremy Vine blaming Jose's sacking on Chelsea player rebelling against him following the Eva Carnerio incident:

One question I have is regarding this line:

And then something utterly unhinged happened. I had to explain to my young daughter why you had exploded at the popular team doctor (one of the most prominent women in the Premier League) and I could not give her a decent reason. You didn't just demote her and cause her to leave, you humiliated her. You should not have done it and I believe the players were also at a loss as they tried to explain it to their young daughters

Why would the players need to explain it to their young daughters specifically? It's as if he's suggesting that the players owed an explanation to their daughters, but not to their sons.

  2. The reason the guy was sacked was because you load of bellends turned on him even before we had played a match! You got what you wanted so don't now try and backtrack and blame the board and pretend he was hard done by! Good luck to him, hopefully the Halifax fans arent as narrow minded as you lot!

I thought he was sacked because of :censored: performances and lack of recruitment skills.

  3. Largely agree with the above, with a couple of things to add.

It could be argued either way as to whether or not Andy Ritchie has been a success anywhere he has been. I would say though that, unlike Sheridan, he has a League 1 promotion on his CV. I also think he was harshly dismissed from the job here. However, I still wouldn't hope for him as manager again.

If I was picking an ex manager to come here, it would certainly be Dowie. He was a success, he wasn't sacked and he didn't disrespect us when he moved on. So long as he still had the passion, he'd be a good appointment I think. Won't happen though.

  4.

If you think failure is 3 seasons of top 10 finishes, including a chance in the play offs and a FA cup win over Everton, then what on earth have you been watching since he left?

    2 top ten finishes, technically.

And do you not recall how badly things were falling apart in the 2008-2009 season at the time of his sacking?

Basically we started well under him, Sheridan seemed to be on to something, but it was all regression from there. This culminated in our disastrous form at the end of his final season. We had some good players during his time, but it became increasingly obvious that he never really knew what to do with them or how to handle them.

Corney saw all this first hand. I would be beyond shocked if JS is even being considered.

  5. It's easy to scoff. And I see no shortage of scoffers.

I see nothing egregiously wrong with the document. It looks reasonable to be. Also remember that this was only part of his presentation.

Whether LJ has the skill and personality to be able to communicate these ideas to the players and man manage them effectively is the only thing that is worthy of discussion in my eyes.
