joking aside, where does this all end?
generations of otherwise mild mannered, respectable, law abiding men (and women of late) have had 2 hours or so on a Saturday afternoon to f and blind and generally act like complete morons then go home and cringe at their behaviour a few hours later.
i demand to be able to continue to do so
-
old bloke, white hair and beard, always wears a yellow coat designers name "HEAD STEWARD" (never heard of them) emblazoned across the back - seems to cause trouble week in, week out.
anti-social to say the least.
what's the number I need?
-
apart from Gregan (although I suspect that this is a whoosh).
why?
after Taylor, he's our best player on his day and he's never had any pace since he's been here - why's his pace an issue all of a sudden?
-
I expect they will attempt to spend some of it on chris taylor
as long as it's at least £2m of it.
-
fee agreed according to SSN.
could weaken Leeds or strengthen them, depending how much they get and what they spend it on.

.............is anyone else really looking forward to Saturday and this season in general??
Plans afoot for a new ground which the noises being made suggest is actually going to happen this time.
A new manager who'll bring us attacking football, organisation & discipline (both on and off the field).
We've hung on to Eardley (for now) & Taylor, who IMO will really come to the fore this year, and made some excellent new signings in Furman, Abbott, Parker, Worthington & Purdie. I'll be surprised if 1 or 2 more haven't been added by the weekend.
A young squad full of already half decent players with the potential to kick on. The likes of Ryan Brooke and Dale Stephens could also come through.
Most importantly, we've resigned our most experienced and, arguably, best player in Sean Gregan.
Oh, and we've even got a leftback!
-
As another Gregan fan I agree completely, this season is one to many and it is increasingly looking like he's shot at our level. I can't believe that yet again we have left ourselves short!
06/07 Keeper, LB and Striker
07/08 LB, Creative Mid,
08/09 LB, creative mid
09/10 Keeper, at least two defenders
Why the fook do we sign 700 midfielders at the expense of other areas. I hope DP sorts something this week but I do think from what I have seen Greegs will be paid up by Christmas...
-
Give Gregan a new contract straight away !.
The question is who is the expert here ?.....quite clearly Gregan would never get any improvement with his pace... or should I have said ...total lack of it !... his age is against him and in my honest opinion I don't think he can cope with anyone with any pace against him, this unfortunately was very obvious for the whole of last season and part of the previous one.... when he was Red carded just about summed it up really.
However let's all hope he proves Big Joe right and Dave Penney right for believing in him, and the rest of us totally useless "no nowts" by having one of his best seasons ?...
did I actually type that ?
so you wouldn't have kept the only player we had that came out of the last 10 or so games of last season with any credit?

16,000 seats
and one of those machines that pours 6 pints at once.

i was in Sicily during the last world cup and watched a few Italy matches in bars.
they'd actually cheer a good tackle or header
strange how the country that, arguably, was the first to make big money a factor in football seems to be the one that's stuck to it's traditions the most.
-
Kyle, we've got pretty much a new team, and a young one at that. They'll take time to gel which means I fully expect this to be a transitional season with equal highs and lows that imo equates to mid-table and tbh I'd be satisfied with that.
thankfully our manager and owners are aiming a bit higher.
-
basically DP is using these players as tools,
we've had a few of them over the years.
-
Yeah but it's not a case of who wants to pay a tenner a game, it's who can afford it. My point isn't that students would rather pay a tenner but will still pay twenty...it's that they won't pay twenty full stop.
So what brings in more money - 200 extra students a week at £10 a game, or no students at £20.
I'd also expect that the away followings are brought down a few by the fact their students have to pay full whack as well.
part time job
2 hours work at £5 an hour.
problem solved.
end of thread.
next....
-
can't be long til they sell him now, can it???
Toure signed and now they've bid £19m for Lescott.
Onuah just signed for 5 more years too.
He'd look a £10m snip in a Villa shirt
-
Yeah i thought that. if it was anyone else i'd think taking his wife's name was a really progressive thing to do but seeing as it's him...
not the word I'd use
-
the real reason he did it??
Ian Thomas-Moore

Yours dad's a wa................
doesn't quite roll of the tongue the same

I'd personally love to see this team:
-----------------------Brill----------------------
Eardley-----Hazell------Gregan-----Jacobson
-----------Furman---------Worthington-------
-------------------Whittaker-------------------
Parker------------Abbott---------------Taylor
like it
no Holdsworth though??
what about Furman in the hole in front of Holdsworth and Worthington???
-
CM: Lee
go on....................???
-
First time I have seen the Masters and I do not see anything in it to get worked up about. Some are still playing and are fit..some are armchair material...
Its crap. How on earth can we call on Tolson ??? How many games did he play for us ? Milligan put one or two yard dog tackles in but he was well off it.
Will not change my opinion..its crap. Bolton were the best team and deserved it.
are you also available for childrens parties?
-
they all said eardley was going to either derby, preston or sheff wed.
they don't sound very sure.
-
Yes, we were that poor!!
Brill...........jesus h christ, did he ever move off his feet all game?
We didn't string two passes together all the first half, is this the style of football Penney want's us to play?
Not sure Abott has the presence to hold the ball and play Parker and Furman et al in, looked very ordinary.
We looked more balanced with Eardley and Lomax on the park, granted Furman was missing today but we looked clueless.
Sign that giant centre half on loan, he was excellent, Hazell was very poor today.
Don't forget, we were playing a third string Sunderland side today and were were outclassed.
Even Penney couldn't find anything encouraging or constructive to shout, all he did was shriek.....'Get out' all through the game.
Long season ahead!!
oh.
might cancel my season ticket.
-
Yeah i'm starting to think Duxbury could still do a job in the first team.... 2nd goal was a bit of a belter, don't remember mini-shez having that eye for goal when he was playing
or a right foot
-
Short sighted and shallow reply.
but heartfelt.
-
If we had not had such short sighted pot bellied takers who should have invested money in our glory years we would have a decent Boundary Park.
Step forward Ian " I have to increase my salary " Stott and Alan "give me 10%" Hardy the money earnt in the late 80's and early 90's should have given us a great platform for a new main stand.
They have lined there pockets out of Oldham Athletic.
if anyone else wants to line their pockets in the future out of giving me another few years like that they're welcome to.
