It is. Mr Brice himself.
which scene's that??
second best programme ever - watching it again, currenly half way through series 2 - it's even better second time round
-
Surely with Wolves now in the Prem his 1st team chances will be slim. Great player last year before he got injured. Left back and when he covered centre half last year he was very comfterable. Worth a loan bid? I think so!
i don't think JJ would be very happy if we loaned DJ

Parker giving it the big 'un after Blackpool beat us in the play offs. Greegs took offence and wanted to knock his head off. Parker makes a few comments about how his career is going places. Two years later arrives at BP to find Gregan is more than likely going to be his captain. Shrugs it off like footballers do.
is that WeeBey in your avatar??

I'd say Boundary Park's two best features are in the ticket office.
-
Simon Corney was just on Talk Sport and Danny Kelly was talking about how new grounds should keep something of the old and SC responded "I can't say too much at this stage but we've already got something in mind" (or similar)
What would you want to keep?

those machines that pour several pints at once

anyone know how it's gone/going?

is decent beer in a decent bar too much to ask?

That's the Weaver's Arms. I've been eyeing that up for weeks!

Whats that empty boozer called at the bottom of Broadway? Someone should buy that if we do build the ground.
shhhhhh!
that's my future you're bandying about willy nilly on the internet

Credit to TTA for constantly looking for the club to evolve and having a vision that pushes the boundaries. I'd like to see them look at the Bradford model of season tickets though.
that would be a very good idea, especially for the first season there.

For every fan we might gain we could easily lose the same number...
but, in turn, a lot of occassional fans will go more regularly due to the improved facilities/experience.
-
Or residents pissing and moaning at any opportunity. Well the end could be near for BP but there could be a very different view for the residents. They'll be begging us to stay when the plans are released for the new development at BP
permission for any housing development nowadays always involves them having to provide several homes for "large families" doesn't it?
that'll go down well

this thread is great fun if you read it bottom to top and play "guess the poster".

Boundary Park.
still relevant and will keep people happy (me included)
-
but surely the money that will be generated from the proposed plans will rise again in the next couple of years as the credit crunch moves on ..?
do you know something we don't?
-
Why can we afford a new stadium but not afford to redevelop BP?
because the money that would have been generated from the proposed plans for the site has dropped dramatically due to the credit crunch and now won't cover the cost of the planned redevelopment of BP.
whereas selling BP will generate enough money to cover these new lower cost plans.
i'd imagine (???)

it needs a thread of its own this capacity issue.
of the current Championship clubs, against how many could we expect 12000+?
1Barnsley 0
2Blackpool 0
3Bristol City 0
4Cardiff City 0
5Coventry City 0
6Crystal Palace 0
7Derby County 0
8Doncaster 0
9Ipswich Town 0
10Leicester City 0
11Middlesbrough 0
12Newcastle 0
13Nottm Forest 0
14Peterborough 0
15Plymouth 0
16Preston 0
17QPR 0
18Reading 0
19Scunthorpe 0
20Sheffield Utd 0
21Sheffield Wed 0
22Swansea City 0
23Watford 0
24WBA 0
if we were mid or lower table only a handful i'd say and my initial reaction was that 12,000 was too small.
if we were top half though and challenging I think/hope we would fill a 12000 seater all season long.
i think 12,000 is fine for now but easy expansion is essential for me - why not plan for over achievement if it doesn't cost too much more? or will it?

Chuffed to bits! Great signing
Parker's one of those players you'd rather have in your side than be playing against you, on his day he's unplayable
hero or boo boy - won't be any in between

what does F5 do???
i think it's the postcode TTA are after moving us to.

What are you on about? What facts are these? None of us know anything for sure until an official announcement is made. It doesn't matter that somebody on here knows something if they can't (perhaps for good reason) share it with the rest of us.
'People like me' do not prevent anybody putting anything on here, as is evidenced by the frequency of supposed facts from supposedly 'in the know' people that get posted up. They may be 'dismissed' if they sound like attention seeking twaddle, but not just by me, and not by people who are by any means of a like mind when it comes to their view of where the club is going.
As it happens I rarely talk about Latics in the pub, as, at least in my experience, the club is now pretty much off the radar with most people (can't think why...) and therefore doesn't often come up in conversation. When it does, there is no stauncher defender of the club than me.
As for a stagnating club, if you don't want to regard a club which has spent more time in the third division than any other club currently in it shows no sign of getting out of the division at the right end, has falling attendances, ageing and deteriorating facilities, the added attraction of a three-sided ground, and has just torn up the third set of plans for a new/redeveloped stadium in a decade to have to start again from scratch as a club that isn't stagnating, that's up to you. Each to their own.
