Absolutely. Scholes did the right thing. He flagged the issues which wont go away till AL does.
And the rumours won't go away until Scholes puts some meat on the bones. Otherwise us long suffering fans bimble along not knowing what the hell is going on

Nothing will happen. We’re fucked. The fan base only care if a football club actually exists.
Just existing might be in question if this continues. We need scholes to elaborate too, i have visions of him running back to Utd and pretending this never happened. He needs to vocalise somehow what he experienced in his short (very short) tenure with us, despite what we are hearing about the club a lot is still guesswork and he is in a position to relay how bad it was.

To vote with my feet, as in dont go to games, not ideal but possibly necessary to drill home the point . I am like other supporters very unhappy with this farcical situation. Not sure what else I could but sign any petition etc, wish I had the bloody funds to tip the current out of this fast leaking boat

Good post, like your more detailed one on the other forum.
Scholes must be absolutely fuming - yes of course he doesn't need the money etc, but he doesn't need the hassle and reputational risk that dealing with AL clearly brought. Absolutely no blame attaches to him for walking away.
Your last para above must be worth following up - surely he as much as anyone would want to see regime change, whether or not he comes back as manager one day. The Trust needs to work every possible contact and avenue to get AL out of our club.
This will prove how bothered he really is. I think it's essential he explains in greater detail the issues he experienced, and not in some shit podcast two years down the line.

I’ve looked at the Trust website and can’t find the directors or who’s representing us.
Do we have anyone who has knowledge of football-related regulations, EFL processes and acquisition / registration of players.
Isn’t the stadium purchase being driven by a Trust director who’s background is trust funds, finances etc? Can we not get them onto the acquisition of the club as well as stadium/land?
Even get Scholes involved or open doors to his contacts who could have the knowledge or financial clout to address this current nightmare. If he’s as big a fan as he stated in his farewell statement then hopefully he can help and return back as manager once this clown has gone.
That's the thing, as a fan who supposedly cares for this club he has been in the position to witness why the club wasn't being run as it should. He needs to put some meat on the bones before scurrying off back to Utd

Absolutely, he deserves a chance with another club offering a permanent position. Although my guess is he will be offered it here, sadly because this club has over the last two years become the most poisonous of poisoned chalices and many prospective applicants most surely be thinking that.

Yes, boycott of Mansfield would have maximum effect. Plus revenue from sky might take the sting out of any lost revenue? Not sure about that one.

It's off

Genuinely don't even care, its like an old comedy farce - but without the comedy

I think he already knows that, he doesn't care - the way I see it, an empty ground plays into his hands.
Wild cares, he 'gets' Latics and should be supported. Do what you got to do.
I agree he should be supported, but the bigger issue here is the clown in charge.
An empty ground wont play into his hands, he is clearly a flapper (dressing room rants) and I think an empty ground would give him a coronery

I'm starting to think that the vacant again OAFC manager position would be avoided like the plague after this. Our chairman had a bad rep before this but now I cant see anyone applying
-
Just now, Matt said:
If he's caretaker again, wouldn't it be best to pack the place out and support him? More voices make more noise.
If that was the case, the focus needs to be on the chairman, not Wild. Make sure he gets it in his head we don't want him.

Enter poor Pete Wild

Apathy is a common trait of this club, but on this occasion it needs to be dropped and fans need to voice their concerns ASAP.
I'm hoping as a fan of the club scholes can come up with a more detailed account of what has been going on to make him walk so soon - it must be bad, jesus, hes been here two fooking minutes

Or the chairman is a compulsive liar and can’t stay away from the changing room and constantly interfering as promised before he agreed to the job?
He knew that was always a risk when he took the job. This game is full of clowns.

What? So he was made to take the job?
Eh? Who said he was "made to take the job"?
I'm saying if he walks anytime soon then he clearly didn't consider things properly in the first fooking place.
-
If scholes walks anytime soon he never wanted to be here in the first place

We've tried every option available from the grizzled veteran to the young upstart, club legends and everything in between. It must be pretty obvious to all now that the manager is not the main issue.
Hallelujah,
Its been obvious to me for some time. I know scholes has said he believes the current squad have ability and are good etc. but when they're all you have you can't say anything else.
I don't want to see anymore overlooked "gems" from the French wrigleys spearmint gum north leagues or the Romanian lilets with wings league either.
Maybe we should be looking north of the border again.

Rebuild the squad, think about the signings, I know we don't have first dibs on players but we can do better than this , mr chairman keep your fooking beak out and let the manager pick the fooking players, scholes then gets his unadulterated chance to show if he can put a team together and if it goes wrong then he goes and no arguments as to whose fault it is.
Not sure if I already mentioned but this squad is shit

The social media generation, not seen it myself but I heard some herbert thought it a good idea to post a pic of their recently deceased grandparent with their own sad face in on the shot.
Jesus

Wish there was some way we could fuck some of these off now and start to rebuild a team with some brains and a bit of brawn. No group hugs after an odd goal, just acknowledge and carry on with the job in hand. Sick of these clueless twats

In truth we were never going to get anything out of tonight, as soon as I saw it on the fixture list I wrote it off in my head.
-
I think its the squad, not Scholes.
Hope he doesn't prove me wrong.
We need players with the intelligence to repeat what they are being drilled in training.
I don't doubt the individual ability of many of them but we need a solid well drilled squad, with that wiley quality about them to do the right thing at the right time to protect the points and get us out of this league.

No because it's all second, third hand etc. If Scholes sees fit to walk after seven or eight games at the helm, it's only fair he comes out and explains properly.
