Who do you think we are getting? Byfield has been mentioned but wonder if he is any good. Played 9 times for Doncaster, 6 from the bench, and yet to score. He is 32 (same age as Hughsie), about the same build and no real pace. Too similar really to play alongside each other, unless we play 4-3-3 with Lewis or Deano. As for a defender, we need competition for centre halfs after Greeg's drop in form and Stam just recovering from injury. Who do you suggest? Didnt realise he was that old tbh... Actaully, i really couldnt give a damn if we bring in a striker or not. The defender is the absolute priority, and it worries me that Shez's apparent fix to our current woes is to just add another striker - when clearly our problems are in midfield and defence. A defender is our priority... as is Sheridan stopping playing formations that dont suit us. It is uttelry irrelevant who we have up front at the moment, they wont score if we continmue to play 442 with an underperforming central midfield and a pathetic Liddell on the wings. Bringing in a striker is like putting a plaster on a 6 inch stab wound and thinking it might be ok.... whoever comes in will look crap unless we sort out the midfield and shez starts doing the basics right.
