Young Athletic players in nutritious diet shocker!

Recommended Posts

Have you been feeling sluggish since New Year? Not living up to expectations, under-performing and disappointing the people who are willing you to do well. Have you be calling in at convenience stores, supermarkets and fast-food restaurants, perhaps on your way from work, particularly if you only work for a few hours a day? Isn’t it time that you stopped eating convenience and junk foods, and turned to a nutritious diet to improve your performance?

Why not follow the example of Chris Taylor and Deane Smalley by popping into the Chadderton Park Inn, Burnley Lane, Chadderton to sample the famous Toby Carrvery.

Choose from one or all of the three succulent roasts:

British or Irish Beef

Honey & Mustard Glazed Gammon (or occasionally Pork)

British Turkey.

There's always a great choice of freshly steamed or roasted vegetables on offer. And they're constantly being replaced all day, so you can be sure that every time you go back for more, they'll have all their flavour. Have as much as you like of these. Today’s selection awaiting Chris and Deane comprised:

Peas

Carrots

Swede

Parsnips

Cauliflower cheese

Broccoli

Roast potatoes

Boiled Potatoes.

The same goes for the sauces, oven-baked stuffing, gravies and home-cooked Yorkshire puddings.

And all of this for the bargain price of £5!

One problem with junk foods is that they're low in satiation value -- that is, people don't tend to feel as full when they eat them -- which can lead to overeating. After a Toby Carvery meal with unlimited fresh vegetables you will feel full for hours.

This change of diet may be too late to help you meet your targets for April and May, but if sustained throughout the summer, and supplemented with fresh salads and fruit, you can guarantee that by the beginning of August you will feel like a new person, and raring to make up for previous disappointments.

Bon appetit!
