it needs a thread of its own this capacity issue.

 

of the current Championship clubs, against how many could we expect 12000+?

if we were mid or lower table only a handful i'd say and my initial reaction was that 12,000 was too small.

 

if we were top half though and challenging I think/hope we would fill a 12000 seater all season long.

 

i think 12,000 is fine for now but easy expansion is essential for me - why not plan for over achievement if it doesn't cost too much more? or will it?

I think we'd average 8,000 in the Championship, with an away section sell out (whether that equates to 12,000 depends on the ground's configuration) only two or three times. 12,000 is plenty for now, and possibly as much as we'll ever need unless that Premiership dream comes true.

 

Those saying we need a bigger stadium for those few occasions we might need it ... I reckon it'd cost a bare minimum of an additional £5m to make it a 20,000 seater (probably alot more, but we'll work with £5M).

 

If we got a 20k sell out twice a season, and maybe 15k a few more times, it'd take 10 years just to break even (at a generous £20 per extra seat).
