the clock is ticking for stockport county

Recommended Posts

I don't think it is.

The Football League don't allow indefinite administration, and rightly so.

Stockport need to find a way to break free of Sale Sharks. That would involve financing a new stadium for rugby union (possibly anywhere in the North West) and repurchasing Edgeley Park. Playing soccer on a rugby union pitch is a bad mix, so a ground share going forwards should be something they want to avoid (but probably can't).

The alternative is to remain a slave to the parasitical rugby club that effectively forced them in to administration in the first place and massively restricts their off-pitch income generation opportunities.

Oldham Athletic is a far better opportunity for an investor than Stockport County. And nobody is pretending that Latics is a fantastic money making opportunity!

Anybody see the incident that got Carl Baker sent off yesterday?

Superb fall to the floor by the Charlton player after a gentle head-tap!

Soft southern git!

(Must be fun to be bottom of the table and have your leading scorer given a 3 match ban for something pointlessly soft - if you're going to nut somebody do it properly ffs!).
