Museum de Latique
Preview taken from the Wrexham official website: IT looks like being a young Reserve side that heads north to face Oldham Athletic Reserves in our final totesport.com league fixture of the season. The game will be played this evening (7pm) and hosted by Stalybridge Celtic at their Bower Fold ground. With a vital first team double-header Easter weekend just days away, manager Dean Saunders is unlikely to risk many of his professional squad, just in case of injury at this late stage of the campaign. It is also a night when eyes will on other fixtures as both Kidderminster Harriers and York City play their game in hand on the Reds in the BSBP. Harriers entertain Darlington and York play host to Luton Town. Meanwhile, back in the totesport.com, chances of retaining our title might have evaporated, but a third placed finish is still a possibility, if we could beat the fourth placed Latics. They are three points behind us, but with a game in hand, away at whipping boys Bury (who lost 6-1 at home to Preston today, after a similar defeat to us last Wednesday). So even a draw at Bower Fold might not be enough, as we share the same goal difference as Oldham. Fifth placed Morecambe could also catch us, but they are six points behind with two games left and face champions elect Preston North End on Wednesday evening. Goalkeeper Joslain Mayebi, along with defenders Johnny Hunt and Declan Walker are likely to be the only pros featuring at Stalybridge, with the rest of the side made up of youth team players. In their last outing, Oldham suffered a 5-1 defeat at Macclesfield Town a week ago. They featured two trialists from Leicester City on the afternoon, but lost their keeper after only 10 minutes to a head injury.
