Microcuts
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18861086 Could well be a publicity stunt. I don't think it's any secret that Hughes may want rid of Barton (and rightly so) but could Sheff Wed come close to his apparent 80k p/w salary? I can't source the salary figure, though I definitely read it to be that around the time of the most recent incident. Either way, it will be hefty.. He was said to be their highest earner and has two years to go. I can't see them getting much of that back.
PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
You'd have to say QPR are chumps if they ever agreed to pay a player of Barton's character £80K per week. Even on his football ability alone (assuming no extra baggage) the wage is disproportional on a Premier League scale.
