penrhyn Posted October 28, 2023 Share Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) Latics lost a keen supporter this week with the passing of Brian Hilton when not playing himself he would attend matches frequently. I used to be pals with him at junior school and our friendship was renewed when we used to bump into each other around town.Had many a chat with him over a pint about latics and football in general, I remember Brian playing against a Latics side once for Blackpool reserves. He was probably best known for his time at Chadderton FC. Summerdeep Posted October 28, 2023 Share Posted October 28, 2023 (edited) Probably just a few years too young to have been a teammate of Graham Bell, who left Chadderton to join Latics in 1972. Must at any rate have played alongside John Regan, who was a Chadderton FC legend in the 1970s and 1980s. Sorry to hear of his passing.
