Lloydy Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 jus got home tried to turn on my laptop as you do. got to the bit were i enter my password did that then the screen jus went totally black and wont work it jus does some screeching noise really loud :S only way to stop it is to pull the battery out. then you put it back in press the on button just a black screen and the screechin noise can anyone help? davegtt Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 Sounds like a HDD failure tbh. Take it all apart and just double check everything inside it connected correctly. I also had the same thing happen on my Toshiba Laptop which was something completely seperate. It turned out to be the Graphics card had come loose off the motherboard.
