  1. 6 wins, 5 draws and 5 defeats isn't great but it's hardly total meltdown at Walsall...
  2. 90 percent of the football articles I read are agent or club driven 'adverts' for who they want to sell or how much they would sign a new deal for, or who they'd like to sign. Surely the media are constantly used to move players. The reason our kitchen sink dramas are played out between the chron and the website rather than other media is that nobody else is interested.
  3. True, I guess the potential suitors are more than aware of who these two are. Mangers will be trawling the net this week though, I seem to remember Ritchie saying he didn't know Eyres was available till he read it on Teamtalk or something like, that's what this type of article is for.
  4. Obviously teams are interested, but I had hoped we'd try and keep hold, if at all possible in the position we're in. Just seems like some of the articles in the Chron/Website read like thinly veiled adverts, especially this week of all weeks.
  5. Those of you interested in buying a striker or winger may be interested in the advert Oldham have on their website today for Hughes and Taylor. Did you know Hughes has scored 15 from only 28 starts ? One lady owner. And Taylor has scored nine despite being a midfielder, great little runner. They may as well have put them in Loot !
  6. There wasn't any activity really. This season is over as far as I can see so looking to build for next season. Livermoore is here for a month after that who knows and Jarett for the season and then who knows. I was hoping to get some people in and bed them in for next season so we're not in the position of wholesale changes every six months, which will never ever result in promotion. Frankly I'm sick of being told we're ambitious and looking for promotion etc when that's clearly not the case. If they said there is no cash because the crowds are low and we're looking for midtable then I'd say fair play, but we're told there is money to strengthen. Yeah the deals may have collapsed for reasons beyond our control but they were frankly piss poor targets anyway... People will say we can still get a striker on loan etc, but that achieves nothing whatsoever and I'd rather that one of our kids played as I'm looking to next year and said loaner will not be here. With all the extra cash and wages cuts we've made and the FACT we were told we would strengthen I looked forward to a summer of little transition, where we might actually start the season in the first week rather than 20 points behind. But again we will start with players who have barely met. Really disappointed.
  7. I'm sure they did, and should he show any potential he'll be back there or in the championship on loan next season and we'll be in the same position we're in now. Waste of time.
  8. Can't see us going up or down this season, so if we're going to play inexperienced strikers why not just play our own? Obviously not the striker we were chasing, just smacks of desperation. Underwhelmed.
  9. Prestons manager on their site complaining about the excessive demands of players/agents during the transfer window, maybe Trotters can't agree terms...
  10. You're prob right, but they admit they weren't willing to push the boat out for him. It'd be well worth us pushing ours out.
  11. Barnsley had an offer of 200k accepted for Parker, but they couldn't agree terms with him as they deemed him unproven and wanted to pay him as such (skysports). 200k prob out of our range but that would be some buy and a real bargain/investment...
  12. Doncaster interested but speaking to a few different players according to their website...
  13. Name? Matt Dunn Location? Cambridge How Long Supporting the Tics? 20 years Best away match you've been to? Beckfords last minute win at Bolton in the FA cup quarter in '94 All Time Greatest Player? Rick Holden Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? This year, dirty Leeds
