  1. A post mortem involving the management team, captain and CEO is surely inevitable after yesterday’s shit-show?

Maybe we’ll get a decent right back / right wing back off the back of it, or am I just desperately looking for a positive?

I wouldn’t claim to be a knowledgeable fan but the worry I have about yesterday’s set up was how, defensively, it was so different to the stuff we’d worked on in pre-season, with forgotten man Sutton parachuted into the unenviable role of looking after one of their better players in a position that doesn’t suit his talents. Surely continuing with Hobson on the right of a flat back four, with a hard-working Ward ahead of him would have been a better, if not ideal solution?

I said he was shite and couldn't pass last season. Nobody agreed, people talking about how good his distribution was. Taken one game this season for people to see the light on that one

I don’t think I was alone in thinking he was a massive disappointment and I kept hoping he’d eventually ‘click’.

Ain’t happened and surely right back beckons until we sign someone more suited to the position.

Magnus defo has a problem from distance aye but he is by far the best we have had for absolute yonks and maybe even the best in the division overall.

easy gets us 10pts on his own.

I’ve just caught up on the fact he’s only 26 years old, an ex-Fulham youth of 8 years and has played almost half of his professional games for us.

Only going to get better, isn’t he?

We generally set-up for home games in the National League in the way I'd expect us to set-up in an away fixture at The Etihad.  With the players we've got, I don't think we should be afraid to have a go at any team from the off, but (unless something drastic changes in Unsworth's thinking between now and the start of the season) that's exactly how Unsworth will set us up.

We did, in fairness, take the lead in the first half of our last five home games of the season, albeit, we only went on to win two and draw three, conceding late equalisers in those.

I'd think they might close that off if away fans are being put in the chaddy side of the MSL.

Then again, isn't there only one turnstile for that paddock, I suppose they can open up some of the Chaddy ones and leave the gate between the two stands open.

I’m not sure they’d need to close it off altogether. There are two sets of steps on that side - the ones that take you towards the Chaddy End (which could be closed) and a flight immediately to your left as you leave the stand which exit onto the road.
