Just think were we would have been if we had binned Unsworth earlier. Not having the pots aimed at Sutton, one of ours, good attitude, out of position and the youngest on the pitch by a mile. there are regularly 7 players who should catch it before him. Players with hundreds of league games behind them.......yet regularly shovelling shit from one bucket to another. Imagine trying to make your mark in these teams over the past three seasons. .

Thanks, I will be sorry to miss that. I remember Chris Ogden as a fellow apprentice at Avro's, though he left fairly sharpish to concentrate on his football, I think. His father Fred, also played for Oldham in goal, in the 1950's. He did a lot of local coaching and was the kind of man who always treated players the same, talented or not. I remember him with great affection, as one of the duffers. .
