  1. There will be a picture taken tomorrow with LJ and Edijs to help promote playershare.

If you have contributed in some way and would like to be on the picture can you let me know.

This will be a quick chance to meet the Manager and Player for a limited time due to it being game day.

If you would like me info about time and place to meet, please Inbox me.

  2. Nohair.....

Thank you for the pledge funds that have been sent, £20 to start off the pledge initiative !

Your money is the first received ! Due to the nature of the pledge and to help all us say welcome to the new little Latic, can I donate a Chaddy the owl teddy for your son if one hasn't yet been bought him on behalf of Playershare and owtb !

Inbox me and ill arrange it to be sent or collect from the club shop

    Many thanks

  3. You had a go at me in the past for daring to call the trust Masons, yet you respond like that when I dare to correct your factually inaccurate numeracy skills. Absolutely fantastic.

I know you were trying to be funny, it would have been funny if you had be numerically accurate as it was, I didn't find it funny. I just found it sad that me correcting someone's numeracy skills hasn't been taken the same way as people correcting others literacy skills.

Bore off !!! They are my words not those of the Trust !

Back on topic ! Ways to help PlayerShare grow and help the club

  4. I take it you will be saying the same every time someone corrects someone else's spelling and grammar on here then.

If Wardle had said £69 I'd have said nothing, if he had said £72 quid, I'd have said nothing. He said neither.

    http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/education-17224600

I said £65 as a nominal fee due to the frequency of poor referees we have at BP I didn't want him paying for every poor official to grace the BP turf!

Although as per Rummy said it was a comment said in humour ! You Prick

  5. A great idea by Danny !!

Of course all pledges are just that, Pledges...

If a fan says they will donate £1 for every goal we score from a Corner, LJ may do more in training :OASISscarf:

A pleadge of £1 by a few fans can make a massive difference !!

I will pledge £1 for every penalty we score during the season (league or cup)

To honour your pledge you can use paypal and send to playershare@laticsplayershare.co.uk

So that we can acknowledge each pledge, please add your username to the reference when paying. I will confirm all pledges within 48 hrs of a match being played.

You can also join playershare by setting up a Direct Debit with the following details

BENEFICIARY NAME: Trust Oldham PlayerShare Save-Scheme
SORT CODE: 16-27-11 (RBS Oldham Branch)
    ACCOUNT NUMBER: 10176108

  6. Hi Mr Hill

From your posts I assume (dangerous I know) that you are one of the organisers of player share. If so would you be able to answer me 3 questions

1). How many people contribute on a regular basis and 2) how much is contributed in total per month? I would guess, judging by the number of people who comment on it regularly on here, that we are looking at around 120 -200 people contributing between £2 and £10 per month, so anything between £240 and £2000 per month.

3)What, if any, is the link to the trust?

If any, or all of this, is answered elsewhere then please point me in that direction.

    Thank you!

Playershare was a Trust inititive that a few members of the Trust help co-ordinate.

The average contribution changes monthly ! some people pay £1 per week others £50 per quarter while a few pay annually.

We have people that contribute in many ways including the playershare shop that has made over £3k so far for playershare.

The monthly income figure and numbers change due to people circumstances, the committee always ensures that any figure requested by the manager can be honoured by the money within playershare

Mr Hill is indeed one of the members of the PS committee.

Playershare works well but could work better if more people subscribed.

So far the scheme has been able to help with the services of Cedric Evina, Shefki Kuqui, Lee Croft, James Wesolowski and now Edijs Joksts. T

  7. I was completely unaware the Village in Ashton had any link with the club until this thread

And am still unclear what the link is - do they advertise with us?

the club / players use the facilities at the Village.

The timing was just an opportunity for fans to meet the manager and the new players before the season started for a change.

The trust would like to do a Christmas dinner this year, any fan wanting to help organise it is more than welcome

  8. Maybe, just maybe, the trust should speak to the fans or at least OWTB before they arrange a hoo haa... It looks bad when events get cannned. im probably pissed off that I wasn't given the chance to vote on a venue, but all this group partners is really not relevant the average fan.

You see that is a problem you dont think about ! The trust always thinks to use club partner when holding events, buying equipment for the club or even minibuses! If we use club partners they give the club more support or money therefore the Trust helps the club generate revenue or commercial support !

Thats is why club partners are always considered. We have now ran over 4 local events and this time we hoped to support the club by using one of its partners

  9. Just to clear a few things up,

The sponsor lounge on the dates the manager was free was already booked.

The venue in lees, Royton and Shaw had already been used and a personal focus of mine when organising events such as thia is to hold them around the borough so fans everywhere has a chance to attend in there own back yard.

The Village Ashton was used for the reasons mentioned before

The event next Wednesday was priced at the advertised rate to allow the event to break even. The music on offer, catering, venue and allowence within the cost to allow for a concession meant we had to do at £15 (the event would have been similar to a sportmans dinner with entertainment) therefore I feel £15 was a good value.

We had to make a decision about the event today to allow the staff who was to attend to have the possibility to do other things, this along with a few other things including ticket sales meant we had to postpone the event

With the comments made on here, facebook and twitter can I suggest the following.

Any fans wanting to organise an 'event' get some ideas together and form a committee and the Trust will support any ideas that are practical and help facilitate any players or staff needed for the event.

  10. The club use the village for training and cool down sessions. Players use the wet side facilities and health club. 30+ players using just a gym alone would be a massive outlay !

The village allow the players and staff to use facilities in return any events suitable can are looked at first for the village as a venue.

  11. Last season everyone who donated helped over 50 children attend games at Boundary Park that would not have been able.

The children that attended were NOT part of the 'chav' brigade. Tickets were given to children who would attend with groups and other children.

I know that the groups and social services that took advantage of the kind gesture from latic fans with these ST were greatly appreciative.

  12. Have to say i'm happy with that, the fans concerns over the £10 Child's ticket have been taken into account and at £10 for Under 12s it represents great value for those parents willing to take responsibility for their kids' behaviour. £50 for Under 16s, no problems with either.

Glad the club have also seen sense about the Main Stand Lower too, I think that's where we'll be next season. More than happy to pay extra for Rosie's ticket in there.

Re: The £200+ VAT offer that was mooted, it would have been a good offer but would have cost the club more money I reckon, especially as a shirt was thrown in too.

At the end of the day, you either want to watch a League One side or not, I don't think a £240 season ticket would have made THAT much of a difference to the floaters. At the end of the day it's £63 or 3 games pay on the day, or if you take out the finance option it's £7 a month….

Right make the right noises over Player Recruitment until May the 31st and I may just renew….

    :coffee1:

    :deal::grin:

  13. On behalf of Trust Oldham and the club - I would like to extend my thanks as mentioned by Dean to everyone who supported the Latics 4 Life incentive and made it the massive success that it was.

The hard work has started, young fans have been encouraged to come to BP for there first time, many made every game others just games they could.

The Latic bug for many as started and that is down to many on this message.

This thread will now be closed and Dean will start another for the forthcoming season. Once again thank you to everyone who helped make this a success and if you want to donate for next season - give what you can.

    OWTB !!!

  14. Crofty and other players fitness has improved greatly since Jan. You can see in the last 20 mins of games how they continue to chase down the ball after they lose it. They even have there heads up to pass the ball in the last 10 mins instead of wayward passing due to tiredness.

I wonder what Paul Butler is doing now???? Would you like a hand with your packing??? :clint:
