  1. by that token, if by some miracle we did a bradford, it keeps dickov in a job for the season. cup runs cannot be allowed to overshadow the league if it puts league 1 status at risk.

put it this way, last season, when chesterfield beat us in the jpt, i would much rather finish the season trophyless with league one status, than jpt winners and relegated. swap jpt for the fa cup its still the same in my opinion. league every time

Would rather win the Fa cup and be relegated. Better than having no cup run and just staying up.

I reckon I might have to take my season ticket to the game to avoid getting thrown out, the way this is going.

The club can't win, can it? A week ago, people were complaining that they wouldn't be able to get a ticket. Now people are complaining that tickets are available. People complained last year about ST holders getting 2 tickets each, now people are arguing that only selling 1 ticket each to ST holders means that tickets are falling into the wrong hands. People have complained in the past (last year, the play-offs etc) that the ticket office were processing sales too slowly and they were queueing for hours. Now people are arguing that anyone buying tickets on open sale should have to provide proof of residence and sit an exam on Latics trivia.

It was always likely that some Liverpool fans were going to buy tickets in the home allocation, because they have more fans than us and I can't remember the last time we sold out BP. There's quite often Liverpool fans in the home allocation at their away games. It doesn't automatically mean there's going to be trouble.

They say one thing and do the other. They said one ticket per season ticket holder but when people moaned a bit they got a extra one. Two tickets per season ticket holder resolves that. We always knew they would be some Liverpool fans in the home end (even getting there postcode won't stop that) but advertising the fact they are openly selling to them is disgusting. It is looking for trouble. They maybe a thousand Liverpool fans in our end because of the club. If there is no trouble I would be very surprised.

But its not a league game, its a FA Cup game. At £10 and a similar price to get there. Hence big sales. How many people pay £20 to get in BP? 300 maybe.

Your first point was we haven't sold 1,300 because it's forest. Yes we have its a mixture of it being the Fa cup and playing them. Exactly my point its not a league game. You seem to be turning the fact we have already sold a decent amount of tickets into a bad thing. Also has been shown in the past Fa cup runs make no difference to our home attendance's. Are you trying to make the point we should be charging £10 at latics? Which would mean we would have to double our current average attendance and reduce the price of season tickets. The likelihood of this happening are very slim.

  4. We havent sold 1300 because its forest. We've sold 1300 because you can get there and back and into the match for pretty much the same price as a home game. Take note Mr Corney. Yes, its not your fault it costs so much to get to and from BP, but £30+ to watch :censored: division three football? Dont know why I still bother. But I do. :titanic:

Actually that's rubbish if this was a league game we would not have sold as many. when we play scunthrope a few days before it, we won't bring as many fans.

  5. I face a big dillema, 27th is the day of mine and partners long overdue house warming party, im going to be coming back from a 5 hr drive home for 10pm if im lucky, everyone has already been on the beer for 3 hours nd i'll just want to go straight to bed after a long day of driving and latic's football! Seen as ive never been to the new place down at Cols what have recent experiences been like down their, a good day out?

Nothing special basically a Lego ground. Nothing near it by far the worst ground in the league.

  6. But what bout the return from Brum to here, surely that's another £25, therefore £56 altogether?

I'm struggling to find any returns, via whichever routes possible, for less than £50.

EDIT: £38.60 off peak return from Stalybridge to Kidderminster. Although that is 4 changes en route!

It's £34.90 via Wolverhampton from Manchester also would avoid stalybridge because they building new platforms so no trains.

  7. I hate that the armed forces get prioritised over everyone else. Why on earth should they get free tickets just for doing a job? Nonsense.

And no, I'd sooner us spend the rest of our existence in this division then change our identity. The soul is being ripped out of football as it is.

Yes the armed forces get too much respect. They should be treated like everyone else no one is forcing them to join. Why should they have had free tickets to the Olympics. They could have givern them to disadvantaged families or sold them.

Anyway back on topic stupid idea hope it fails

I'd imagine most of us arrive so late simply because we can.

Yet again, a winning, entertaining team will have us in much earlier than any guest beers and haute cuisine ever will.

I would arrive at the same time weather we where winning or not. What difference does it matter what time you arrive.

  9. I think I've only ever stood at Brentford and possibly Hyde. What's the deal with Brentford still being allowed to have standing?

You are allowed to stand at league 1 and 2 but if you are promoted to the championship you have 3 years to change it. I personally prefer standing, it would prevent people from standing in seated stadiums which is very annoying. Non-league is great you can stand where you want and even have a pint on the terrace.

  10.

If I was :censored: at my job, and everyone knew it, but I was on £1.5 million for the last year of my contract, you wouldn't shift me with a crow bar

What if the company had a good chance of going under because of your actions. I think it just shows the mentality of these footballers today. A very selfish attitude. Pompey are very lucky they did'nt have to start from the bottom like Chester for example. It's sad for this to happen to a club. Thankfully something is finally being done about it.
