I'd take anyone if Corney fucks off.

Abadallah can't do any worse, can he?

Even if he can, its the same headache, just a different dickhead.

Things could be a lot worse without Corney.

We get 3.5k home crowds and we're still in League 1.

Could be better sure but things can still get much worse depending on what future owners do.

  2. Thought we played decent last night, still a lot to work on but I don't think we should be panicking, we were unlucky not to beat a side in the league above. We never gave up all game and came back from behind to take the lead.

We made some silly mistakes and at times we just couldn't get the ball to stick upfront.

Duffus really struggled tonight, seemed well off the pace. Ben Wilson was great in goal, I think Ripley helped the defence massively last season by saving shots he really shouldn't have done, maybe WIlson isn't quite doing the same yet. Dummingan's final ball was pretty poor and he should have done better cutting out the shot for the second goal. McLaughlin and Brian Wilson worked really well done the right last season, Dummigan needs to improve if he's going to stay there. Fane's backpass was unforgivable, so poor.

The issue is more that the club either wasn't prepared for this scenario or didn't consult fans when they considered changing home ends.

The decision is understandable now, as horrible as it is to not have a proper home end, but the continued shambolic communication that the club maintains with its supporters is the real problem.

    Fully agree

  4. What if this extra money from these two fixtures are the difference from being able or not being able to pay the wages? Would it be such a bad decision then? We cannot afford to miss out on extra revenue.

We've been under an embargo already this season for quite a while and it could happen again.

  5. 50k a drop in the ocean compared to relegation.

And whilst a fan has never yet scored a goal we should be looking to keep every little advantage we have at this stage.

The fans I'm sure will be up for a clash against Sheffield United, like they have the last few home games since Shez came back. Plus if it was always about the money Clarke would have been gone in January. Being offered money for him when his contract is up at the end of the season?

  6. Bigger picture sometimes, every game crucial now and yet we are thinking only of the pound signs, it's wrong.

Bigger picture, £50k we don't have to find elsewhere. For all the Anti-Corney sentiment on here, who do you think funds the losses? It's annoying and an inconvenience to fans who sit there but we aren't in a position to turn down money.

  7. We are amateurish. Just like Cheltenham singing Winch on a scabby sofa yesterday. We're a lower league football team, I'd rather we tried to get it right with long term strategy and results on the pitch.

I rather we weren't amateurish and made an effort, small things as I said. Strategy and results far more important of course but that hasn't been going too well the last few seasons.

  8. This season I've found the fans have been very apathetic at the games. Even when we win a corner or a free kick in a good position there has been very little response. No 'Come On Oldham' at all from what I noticed. The game at HT was much better than the main event. I'm not one for leaving a game before Full Time, I'm there to watch the football regardless but the football and the lack of fight in the last 2 home games has been so bad I've left long before the end. It's unacceptable that we have to put up with performances like that.

I'm a season ticket holder but I won't be going again for a long while. I wanted to go hand my card to Corney and never return again. I didn't really want to go today but thought it might be better because we played ok at Charlton.
