  1. Why would he come back? He doesn't have any ties to the club and he was brought in by his mate Sheridan. He's gone for good.

It all sounds like chaos behind the scenes, a new possible manager named every day and the club are a month behind when they said they would have someone appointed. I know they don't like to be rushed but this is unacceptable. When they take their time with appointments they get it wrong (Penney, Kelly)

I'd say in the past I've been very much in support of Corney and the board, can't be easy but they're making a right mess of this. Corney has been here over 10 years now and apart from a great UNFINISHED stand we're probably in a similar position to what we were in under Chris Moore. How can a club run so prudently appear to be in such a mess?

  2. Would be a good addition to the stadium if we could get the Scoreboard. An extra facility for fans showing old clips and latest scores etc as well as being another revenue source for the club.

Not seen anything yet I want to purchase from this tifosy but hopefully something good will come along soon. Maybe some of players shirts etc will be sold off at the end of the season to boost the fund, sure more and more items will come available.

  3. Yes it will give youth a chance they arent getting now, we don't really know for example how good Danny Byrnes is as his progress has been blocked by several loanees.

Ok the coaches will have seen him in training and based their assessment on that, but that's nothing like judging from competitive games.

I also feel we need to bring back the reserve team, but I imagine the board will frown on any extra expenses.

Didn't Shez get rid of the Reserves in his last season here? Not sure what the setup was like at Chesterfield and Plymouth.

  4. If it is Sheridan he was the last manager to be given a good budget by the board. He had a great squad when he came in and got them playing fantastic football.

It's a bit different now, the budget he had in the past he won't have now. Can he keep us up with that situation? Maybe. Will he? Probably not. Can he get us back up from League 2? Definitely.

  5. If Corney etc bought the club with the purpose of making money from it then they have done an absolutely terrible job of it. They have spent millions on the club and are very unlikely to make the money back.

I don't have a problem with them trying to recoup some of that money back so long as it doesn't affect the club.

The way the board have managed the club of late has been shambolic. From Ched to LJ to the new stand and new manager appointments and lack of stability that's led to players going elsewhere when they wanted to stay here it's been a horrible 12 months from them. I don't have any confidence in them to get it right.

Changes are needed at board level as well as manager level.

  6. Looks like us fans have come to a cross road as such.

I appreciate both sides, the happy clappers and the booers too....and trust me being on the end of a fellow latics fans personal attack is not pretty either and yes it happened again same fella the other Saturday too.

Personally, I think we need to support as these are the players we are stuck with for the moment, like a naughty child I might want to give em a clip round the earlobes, tell them to man up and all but, I don't think any of the them at the moment have the back bone to take it, so I think we need to support, that's what we do isn't it?

If we don't I believe not only will be stuck in the bottom four but highly likely to get relegated too.

I believe it's time for the club to make a statement too, acknowledging it's not pretty, giving us some indication of a plan to get of this mess.

If we want to encourage this lot and get behind them, there was planned and I still think is still on too a "party in the park" initiative for the home match on sat 12th. The club and trust were hoping to raise spirits for all by creating a bit of festive cheer. To have some brass bands, mince pies, mulled wine, possible free raffle tickets for prizes, have a go at a record for most Christmas jumpers on show in one place, also a food bank drive/donate a gift for an unfortunate too. Well that as the plan.....and unless anything has drastically changed should be promote more this week.

    Oh well

So the events for the next home game have been planned by the Trust? Sounds like a good idea, positive.

  7. Someone out there must be good enough to sort this side out. It's not the worst squad we've had in this league at all, they just aren't playing. Whether it's the pllayers not putting enough effort or the tactics not working a change is needed. Someone who can get the players to run through brick walls for the Manager. Kelly and Dunn aren't those managers.

  8. Can we stop with this Dunn isn't good enough nonsense? Deserves at have at least one transfer window.

You say it like he hasn't brought any players in.

Even with the squad he inherited I expected him to be doing better than he is doing. Good managers can get a group of players together and get them to improve

He won't be good enough, he might not even keep us up. Give someone else the window.
