  1. Having played with Deane all through my school life, he is by far a better player recieving the ball and running at players. Even hough he can head a ball he hasnt got the strength for holding some of the bigger defenders in this division although were we to play more through balls Im sure he could be an outlet up front. Id avoid playing him there and he has always been a winger or central midfielder since Ive known him and used to put poo in defenders shorts when running at them with the ball. As for his chances I feel he has just been very unlucky, as was shown when his effort pinged off the bar against Hudds only to hit Jarrett and a defender before going in.

As O Johhny Eyre commented to me a few weeks back, sometimes he does stuff which you think are brilliant and he looks one of our brighter prospects, then 5 minutes later hell do something which makes you think, "How on earth has he made it as a Pro". But I guess that consistency will come with age as will most of the rest of our younger players in the squad.

  2. Sorry to pick through your posts Youngen, but I remember agreeing to an earlier one of yours (Feb 1st) when you informed Max Damage;

"You seem to be forgetting weve just made 500K on Trotman plus the 200k we made off Philiskirk in the summer. Wages saved on Ricketts. Thats how we afford half decent players. "

I'm confused now, because I thought you were originally in favour of the sale of Trotman? It seemed good business to me under the circumstances.

I never agreed to the sale of Trotman, it showed no ambition and has done nothing but harm to our season. By keeping him alone would have boosted us at least a couple of places. In this earlier post I was also commenting on the lack of ambition as we had already made the money so therefore we should have invested it, I never condoned his sale but was merely saying it should have been re invested. To me the club are happy sitting in this division and breaking even every year until the stadium is built, the flats are sold and a nice profit will be made, and then the owners will sell up claiming were in a better position than we were in, when we, at the moment, are about as good as we were under Ritchie. The only thing is their will be a bigger echo in the stadium from all the extra room that wont get filled.

  3. The fact we are losing massive amounts each week and were offered £500,000 is a clue as to why we let him go.

Interestingly enough, he's been injured for much of the time since so it's unlikely we would have got a lot out of him for the rest of the season if he'd stayed.

Also the fact we are a club with little ambition. 500k is nothing if the boy could have taken us up. Although Stam has been good in patches he has been one of the many inconsistnet performers and often switches off. I think Shez will be making some suprise releases this summer based on the inconsistency. What we need is a team of Mark Allotts and Reuben Hazells.

Anyone know whos out of contract this summer, cos I would think most will be looking for new jobs

  4. On the front of our own songs correct me if im wrong but isnt one banana two banana one ours and also Oldham Oldham Oldham sung almost to the tune of a hymn ( or at least I think). By the way I hate that one banana two banana song as its always started by the nob end known as mr Chaddy End or so he thinks. he also starts come in a taxi and small town in wherever which are :censored: songs. Another one is youre not singing anymore when people start it when the opposition havent sung barely all game.

I do very much like Yorkshire hatred songs and sit down and behave yourself. Stand up if you love Oldham is only good to pish stewards off tbh although I prefer the old Jump around if you love Oldham as it always seems to be freezing at Latics

  5. theres a right winger at preston who i always sign who pretty good, u have to have a bit of money tho so need to save up, but beeen quality for me!

Richard Offiong from Hamilton 35k and I also signed Lingfield who even when Id made Prem league was still in my all time best 11. Eardley and Taylor are garbage so sell straight away otherwise end of season money doesnt get given to you in budget. Ive also signed Hobbs and when on way to Prem Ben Amos from United who played 8s every game which helped cos my defense was gash.

  7. Be nice to have a song for Mark Allott after this seasons efforts....even just "walking in an Allott wonderland" would suffice IMO!

As for my likes and dislikes, "Build a bonfire" is one of my favourites! And the "Ta-da-da, da-da-da-dar! etc....Oldham...."

Utterly despise the "Oldham till I die" song and will never ever sing it! It's a Man :censored:ty song and always will be!

But yet Im sure youll sing no ney never which is a Burnley song.

  8. To be honest I thought the goal was Livermores and keepers fault. Although I think Id have blamed Jarrett for it even if he wasnt involved as he was just absolutely sh*te all game. Considering his game is passing midfielder he should really know how to pass a ball even towards the same coloured shirt. Ah well least we didnt play someone like Doncaster or Swansea today wed have been sent for 6 Im afraid. We were lucky to draw with one of the worst teams Ive seen. They ranked alongside Bournemouth. I seriously hope we dont make the playoffs cos it will be a massive waste of money to get beaten off someone crap like Walsall in the semis and spend the cash on both legs. Were nowhere near good enough.

On another note anyone notice we started 4-5-1 with Constantine on his own. IMO that formation requires a striker to hold up the ball and play it to on running defenders. Unfortunately we have the lankiest, softest git in the world holding it up and apparently due to his height he should easily win headers. Anyone see him get one besides the goal. And tbh the goal only hit his head cos the defender pushed him into it. What a waste of money he is. Its alright blaming injuries but if wed have invested and got a good SQUAD we wouldnt be relying on youngsters. Bad management and board room decisions. Another season in this league and I think Ill pack it in cos the prices are only gonna rise and the football is gonna drop even further.

    Get it sorted

  9. Wigan a few seasons back was quite tasty something building up there.

I absolutely despise Wigan. Hate hate hate. Just cos of their pish poor attendances. Didnt we take more fans in the Dowie year, when they won the Championship against us than they had in the home end. And half of em were wearing united shirts. GRRR. Also hate Blackpool just because of the fact they always beat us. hudds have become the big game of the season nowadays though, first one I look for, and also Doncaster, due to the Richie Wellens, Heffernan fiasco.

  10. That Craig Davies told Shez to F**k off in training which subsequently resulted in his minor injury lasting a bit longer. Just something I heard but can imagine him doing it if people have been saying hes a big :censored: n the way Shez has slated in him in post match interviews. Not sure me to be honest, only time will tell and were doing better without him right now. On another note Id sooner have him back cos I dont quite understand Constantines role upfront. he seems big enough to hold it up yet doesnt even seem to get to it to begin with, he is big enough to head it but I think he may have won 3 headers possibly since he arrived and he certainly aint got the ability with his big dangly legs as was shown when given a perfect chance to waltz into goal last night n he smacked it half a mile forward. Sooner see Hughesy straight back in as Allessandar needs support, he does everything up there.

  11. What a joke people say hes no good already. When he had the ball he looked half decent. Didnt exactly put the :censored:ters up the defence but I seem to remember a certain someone called Luke Beckett who did sod all besides stick the ball in the net. This kids scored a good goal and worked well in holding it up etc. Hes only here due to our main men being out, at least give him a chance to try and keep his place when the wondermen upfront come back

  12. He lives in Sale and can regularly be seen around Sale town centre precinct, I work down here and often see him when I'm out in Sale at Lunchtime.

He is a really decent bloke but very quiet and has resisted several attempts by the club to lure him back to BP over the years.

I heard he owned a chippy in Sale aswell. Apparently he doesnt come back because he feels shafted by the club and doesnt like the high life being a quiet lad

  13. Much as I hate Sharp, he wanted to sign Hyypia by all accounts but wasn't able to due to restraints imposed by the men upstairs.

I heard similar. I believe Sharp told the upstairs staff to conclude a deal at the end of the weeks trial and when he came back in monday the upstairs men had decided he wasnt good enough and :censored: him off. I believe it was fat man Ian Stott in charge then if I remember rightly.
