The SFL didn't kill the club, but had to protect themselves from a situation where they would have had little time to gain new members for the set up next season. Simply, Gretna couldn't commit to keeping goijng next season thereby breaking the rules and suffering the consequences of that. Airdrie and Stranraer had to know which division they had to be in. No blame lies with them at all. If our league had done things properly last season we too wouldn't have had the problems we had with Leeds trying to claim their points back.
You'd suspect that Gretna will reform again, probably as a Northern League (set up) club again.
The question is now that SFL are a club down, will the SFL allow a new club called FC Gretna to emerge into the 3rd division or will they forever be one more club short! Wont be long before they only have one division left...

This is what you missed. Three people on OWTB have admitted to voting for the winning fluo yellow shirt.

I said Taylor was going to be leaving a few weeks ago but no one believed me, people just go to defensive when they hear something they don't like, instead of actually asking for more detail in an appropiate way.
Mind you, wouldn't be Latics fans if we didn't whinge.
stop whinging!

I have just returned from Portugal where they are in the Midst of Euro 2008 fever and i couldnt be more jealous!! Flags, scarves, shirts etc etc on sale everywhere.....
Good thing tho may make the tournament interesting as i wasnt planning on watching it.. i think Portugal will win it, for the simple non sporting reason of iv just come back from there ---- via spain (diverted plane) so i want them to do well also!
-
Sounds a good idea to me. Might be worth emailing the club with the suggestion for next time. Once the vote is underway it's too late to suggest it.
Does anyone know the release date of this shirt!?!
-
Im not getting a season ticket next season unless the crowd will sit in complete silence i like to be able to watch football in peace without any racket whatsoever! I wonder if the regular England fans moan about where the band is going to be... Whatever next an atmosphere at BP!!
If you dont like the Drum there are two other stands... Discussion over!
On a serious not i can understand people not wanting to sit next to him but c'mon everyone now knows where he is sitting so if you really wanna go in the RRE move to the opposite side otherwise go in the t'other two stands... wish people would stop giving this lad stick for trying to drum up and atmosphere!! Think i sat in the Chaddy twice last year and i thought he did a a good job!

what about if you want county to win because you actually like them?

M.E.N Today have a feature on Player of the year from all north west teams and below is their take on latics.....
Headline... ALLOT of joy, a lot of frustration...
STAR MAN: Mark Allott 9
Crossley - 7
Eardley - 7
Hazell - 7
Stam - 7
Lomax - 7
McDonald - 6
Jarrett - 6
Livermore - 6
Taylor - 8
Hughes - 7
Davies - 8
Smalley - 8
Alessandra - 8
Wolfenden - 7
Greegan - 6
All ratings come with a little assesment - davies is the best "is he the most frustrating latics player ever? top scorer with 15 but if he stayed in the box more would of bagged 20 +"
IMO these ratings are rather generous to Smalley, Aleassandra, Taylor and Stam. Gary McD tho thought his was a bit harsh at least deserved a 7!
What does everyone else think!?!
