Is Bembo-Leta a midfielder or striker?
He's being converted to a full back as we speak.
-
Just wanted to say I love this forum, it's so entertaining and dramatic at times... as you were.
-
My point was that TTA need to tackle the question of why not enough people turn up and pay their money to make the Club break even.
I may be seeing things black and white here but entertainment on the pitch would be job one.
-
Aljofree, but surely he's a full back and we're crying out for... oh never mind, I give up!
-
Our owners are real people doing a real job trying to keep a club with low attendances afloat. The facts are the facts and there is no magic wand or massive pot to raid.
If the product on the pitch was anything approaching interesting the low attendances wouldn't be quite so low.

Three of us made the decision last night to not renew our ST if DP was still in charge and hadn't made sweeping changes to his methods. I walked into work to hear of another not renewing, and then come on here to read another handful feel the same.
I wouldn't want to encourage anyone to stop watching Latics, but I can understand it completely when they say they've had enough, and for the first time in 40 years, I really couldn't give a toss what it will do to the club, because the owners have taken my club away from its supporters, fed me bull:censored:, constantly bemoaned the money they are losing when it is their business plan that has failed, insist on taking me to an area of MANCHESTER I detest, and had the audacity to whinge about the morosity of the supporters.
This isn't the club I've been proud to be a part of for five decades anymore. Gone is the passion and drive that even our most talentless players had, gone is the tactical ability that our coaching staff could apply, gone is the interactive family feel to the club, and gone are the supporters who would gladly turn up just to see some effort.
In its place we have a failing, crumbling business. I don't wish to pay £350 a year to be part of that.
I want my club back, but I'm in no position to do anything about it, other than vote with my feet. It is up to TTA to realise why attendances are dropping at the same rate our league position is, and get some coaching staff in who can instil confidence, awareness, sense, passion and pride in the players before the club loses everything.
That pretty much sums up everything, well put.

£1 for the pair and I will drive them into the Trent for you guys

The club get slagged off however they manage these situations. They are really between a rock and a hard plaice.
He should have been sold in the summer!

A centre back, a centre back, my kingdom for a centre back!!

Spent most of the first half trying to work out the formation and the tactics we'd employed and couldn't work it out at all!
Second half was the very antithesis, how much easier and entertaining did the game look when we just attacked them?!
-
Maybe we could set up a pie shop for him as the self sutaining business part of the nres Staium.
We'd only need 6 acres, 5 for the wtadium and 1 for him!
The way he was going through them I thought we'd found our new financial benefactor!!
-
This lack of information is appalling.
Nothing about it at all.
There were several extra thousand to witness it, yet nothing.
About what time the pies ran out.
THe marketing guy has beena t work; clipboards, shop scrub up, cheap tickets, half season deals.
Not that he should but has it reached the catering yet?
The pies were in plentiful supply in the Chaddy end and very nice they were too. I brought a friend from Wigan to the game who'd ate three before halftime!

Maybe they are following the Twickers design. So we get a 12K seater stadium with three tiers all the way round, it would be unique as the smallest 3 tier stadium in the world. 4K per tier with about 5 rows on each
That'd suit me, some leg room would be nice for a change!

107-year-old Malaysian woman seeks 23rd hubby. ...I cant even get a boyfriend, I think she needs to write a book on how to get a man or 23 ... whos counting anyway?
Woo-hoo, make way for the single guys!
*Leans casually against bar, tips hat and adopts best deep south accent*
Mornin' ma'am, yer lookin' mighty purty this fine day'

We're here until December. It's terrible. Come visit us, we have nothing to do...except bake cakes and throw Latics parties. xx
Latics parties, how do they go?... A misplaced sense of excitement and optimism at the start then a sense of foreboding and gloom about an hour in followed by a grim acceptance of reality towards the end?!
-
I'll echo these sentiments, wasn't expecting much from today but a fine result in the end.

In the sports centre of a department store in Cologne 1997. The red and blue striped shirt was for sale at the front of the foreign footy shirts rack in front of the Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea shirts.

Tend to ignore speculation and rumours but this one's gathering quite a bit of pace in Interweb world!
-
been told 2 new players joining tomorrow one is a cb not sure on the other one also eardly gone for 600k no sell on clause
Hope the other one's a full back, not sure we have enough.
-
Look at the end of the article
Stay tuned to oldhamathletic.co.uk for possibly more signing news later today!
Possibly a 2nd?
Could be Eardly on his way somewhere else.
-
The first things I read on the OS were, International - 22 years old - Jacobson, and I though we'd uncovered a Scadinavian gem... never mind, still think he'll be a good signing.
-
49 points in most other premiership seasons would have seen us mid table... poor old Palace!
-
Ian Olney scored more than Giggs!!
-
I find it it totally bewildering how a season could start with so much optimism and hope and end in such wretched tatters with no feeling of salvation anywhere near the horizon (at least for myself).
I'm totally lost for words and without meaning to sound too melodramatic it feels to me like this club is fading rapidly into oblivion.
