Maybe Willoughby for Reid.
Would also be cool with that. Be interesting to see what Willoughby brings to the table.

Norman
Shelton
Hobson
Raglan
Kitching
Tollitt
Sheron
Gardner
Dicksenson
Norwood
Reid
This is the the one . Not ideal, but best we can put out IMO

And no goalkeeper it seemed.
Norman was absolutely dreadful. The middle 2 goals should have been saved. The last one looked very odd. Will reserve judgement as we can't see all camera angles, but don't be surprised if oppo scouts are telling their attackers to shoot from distance.

I haven't been this excited for the start of a football season for the best part of 30 years, not even the constant rain can dampen my enthusiasm.
I hope Ebbrell and Thompson fill the lads with confidence, don't put them under pressure. Eleven great footballers for the National league with five more on the bench just in case.
Goalie, defence and midfield picks itself for me.
Up front Alex Reid plays every time if I'm the manager alongside one other. His pace allied to Green out wide stretches the opposition and creates space for his strike partner.
But whoever we start up front should do the job.

I agreed with the statement about Reid, until we signed Norwood. Now its Norwood and one other.
Does Reid and Norwood as a partnership? I think so!

I would absolutely love Gardner to be able to contribute to the team this season. He is a class above the rest of the squad.
Him being fit would be pretty much our best signing!
Unfortunately, I don't think he will be....

I've just subscribed. It was a bit confusing as to whether it would auto renew or not, as after it confirmed it had 2 options, renew now and cancel.
Anyway, keep up the good work Matt & co

I don’t think we’ll see any centre half's signed personally, especially true if McGahey is still under contract which has been mentioned. He isn’t a fans favourite, but Hogan has been excellent for the last 2 months and for me you aren’t getting better than Yarney and Hogan at this level, add in McGahey (if fit, big if) and Sutton as back up, and even Sheron in emergencies and i’d rather see the budget spent elsewhere.
Agree we don't need to sign another centre half, concentrate in other areas

We should defo keep Fondop around as an impact player from the bench (hopefully not that his elbows make impact with defenders' heads)

Hahahaha. This is fun. It's like having therapy.
I want to add how much I detest that minority of people who criticise Joe Royle's record by citing that little cameo he did as a favour to see the season out, ignoring the most wonderfully glorious years in the club's history.
I really hesitate with this one, as I'm in a very small minority, but I hate all tangerine kits. I hate tangerine. I had a retro one. I looked like a giant satsuma. I actually prefer the all blue and all red (yes, red) kits of the early 1990s. We love tangerine - not we don't, most do, but not everyone.....
okay, I'll get my coat now.
Surely you looked like a giant Tangerine?

Let’s hope that we follow their lead
Yep in very short order.
You can't be a professional football team AND expect the players to take the risk on themselves. Its an absolute nonsense this.

We always say it’s about building for next season. We are shit again the next season and it’s rinse and repeat. Can’t we just be good ?
There is a clear difference this time.
1. The big spenders in the league should hopefully be out of it and replaced with dross.
2. We are actually looking like having good continuity into next season. I'm really encouraged by most of the long contracts we've handed out recently.

Wrexham and Notts are well ahead of us.
This year is extraordinary though.
If they go up this year (big if of course with play offs)! The two teams (hopefully three) that go up next year will also be well behing Wrexham and Notts C.

Remember the uproar when the previous owner interfered in transfers...
Ridiculous comparison. Its is slap bang in the owner/ceo remit to look after the reputation of the club.
Previous owner, well his brother, was deciding who should be brought in and who shouldnt based on footballing ability.

Good signing in my opinion

We are a couple short
Norman
Clarke
Legge
Hogan
Angol
Sheron
Maynard
A.N.Other (maybe Hope)
Gardner
A.N.Other (maybe Tollit)
Porter or Fondop
Players we bring in have to be quality now, squads big enough for me we just need those stellar signings.
100% agree with this post

I agree with this. I'm not overly disheartened about the performance last night.
I would also have brought Gardner on.
