Been to them before, I've nothing new to say.

Besides if I gave my thoughts directly to MM on his turgid tactics I'd probably be thrown out

Have you been to one since you made your mind up on Mellon?

You are incredibly vocal on here with your opinions on Mellon and often get upset that no one listens to you - now is your chance...

  2. Not sure where to start with that.

I don't use this lightly but it was a disgrace from top to bottom, start to finish.

It's hard to apportion the blame across manager and players, but I'll try.

Team selection was odd, but I'm not even sure that matters when you play with tactics like that.

Equally, when players are that inept at basic tasks like not putting a ball into the perfect position for your opponent at every single attempt, it's hard to know where to put the blame.

Personally I think the wins we've secured in recent months are down to little more than poor opposition, grinding it out and a bit of luck. It was never going to be sustainable or progressive to play the way we've been playing and now we're being found out.

I don't particularly care about 'style', if an ugly approach is effective and we're good at it then we should crack on. But here's the issue. We're not good at it, it doesn't work most of the time and we continue to try things that make zero common sense and play into the hands of the opposition. This is where the issue lives, we have nothing else to fall back so where do we go from here when its clear it's not sustainable.

It's incredibly worrying that people involved in professional football can't see that lumping the ball forward repeatedly down a centre halves throat, not winning any first or second balls etc.. needs changing. Even more so when the players just blindly keep doing the same thing and particularly today, just accepting that we weren't going to win the match and some of them (including the captain) completely giving up.

Might sound dramatic, but it's all quite concerning at this stage in the season.

Well you’re effectively asking me to take the word of a random person on the internet. So yes, I want to see if you actually have details.

If you cared so much about keeping it quiet for the good of the club, as you refer to below, you would never have made the initial post in the first place.

File this in the bull shit category, for now.

    Fair enough.

    Yes.

The club deemed it as something strong enough to go to a final warning, and he then continues to post stupid things, then it really doesn't matter. He deserves to be bombed out.

If the club don't want to publicise what it was (nor should they if it's an internal matter) then I'm not going to do it for them, potentially causing unwanted issues.

    Go on then I’ll bite.

What did he previously do wrong ?

    Q the “I can’t say”

It was a previous issue the club had to deal with and gave him a last warning - does it matter what it was?

Take the post how you will, but I reckon Reid is playing silly buggers undermining manager, club and misleading fans.

Rest of the points still stand.

    Tollitt, Gardner, Kurt, Dickinson

Gardner will see his deal out as he's always injured anyway so may as well take the money until summer.

Out of the above, Nuttall and Shelton, I can only really see anyone being interested in taking a punt on Kurt on loan.

Won't be easy to shift the rest given they're probably on decent wages for this division and their only real route out is probably bottom end who are skint or the division below who are even skinter (& also a massive ego hit to drop into the NLN/NLS)

Yeah, they'll go for Stockton again...

    I hope so.

Interesting that Mellon has managed him before and was quoted saying he's not the type of striker that will press and run the channels for you etc... which is the opposite of the type of player we are looking to replace in Josh Stones.

His scoring record at a higher level might trump all that though.

Just what we need a player like Mancini, wonder what sort of contract he is on and if Hartlepool would accept a cheeky bid.

He's the only positive thing at their club by the sounds of it, they were singing for him for 88 mins until that changed to songs about the rest of them not being fit to wear the shirt and Askey Out.

Would take a brave chairman to accept a bid for him.
