We've been in for three RBs this summer. Ogle, Golden and Grimshaw. On that basis I assume it is something he's still looking at, and won't just sign one for the sake of it.
-
Did anyone ask him about this approach/style at either of the recent fans forums?
Seems to be lots of vocal opinions on it but don't remember anyone asking the questions that are being asked in here.

Time to remind everyone that Rochdale brought more to Boundary Park than we took to Spotland in the 21/22 season...
Well perhaps if the club bothered to put stickers on seats, people would back the club more and we'd take more fans to support the team.

Glad people on here aren't losing their minds (over what is actually a decent looking shirt) like they are over on Twitter.
It's painful seeing some individuals finding negativity and whinging over pretty much anything and everything.
If a shirt being too boring or not the right shade of tangerine is all we have to complain about, I think we'll be alright!

I think this signing would probably mean the end of Hope and/or Tollitt.
We'll likely play 4-3-3, with Willoughby and Dallas in the wide positions.
That leaves Reid, Nuttall and Fondop competing for the centre forward position. Reid could probably play in the left sided position if needed, but I can't see Fondop staying around too long if this is to be the case.

Trust Director seems fairly certain Dallas is signing.
He's got a few wrong in the recent past though...

His agent wants a pay-off from Oldham. The % has been agreed between the clubs. If the agent drops his demand then the move is a go.
if he doesn’t Rooney stays where he is
A pay up for what? Doesn't make sense.
He's being loaned out so will get his wages in one form or another. He's not released from his contract.

I've seen Wigan and loads of other clubs with Puma use the likes of 1, 4, 7 & 9 as their player numbers.
Its a disgrace we aren't using bespoke numbers as far as I'm concerned.

Can't really agree with you there, it may alert other clubs and increase competition for his signature.
When he gets fixed up, here or elsewhere, is the time to name him IMOP.
Do you think football clubs are unaware of who is available/on the free agents list?
And even if this was the case, do you think they are searching through threads of a national league club's forum in the hope a volunteer scout posts a name of a recommendation?

Are we going to have another thread taken over by seat sticker complaining?

Haughton was never a target to anyone's knowledge. Fixation started when he scored against us in pre season, went on to have a good season and suddenly some fans wanting a player becomes a false story that we were chasing him.
Whether he should have been a target is a different matter, but fans melting down over not getting a player we were possibly never going for is classic Latics.
Him staying at Fylde is not something to get annoyed over or even feel the need to engage with.

Sounds like there is some form of escape clause or loophole in Yarney's extended deal.
It's not been a straight answer from who ever has been asked about it. The cryptic answers suggest we've offered him more money to honour the agreement.

You can't, can you if it's a Sat 3pm game...?
Not officially, but I believe there are fairly easy ways to do so for a small annual fee.

I loved the 2020/21 season when we could just watch the streams from the comfort of our own homes, with either a beer or a brew. And evening games were 7pm kick offs, which are much better than the 7.45 KO...
You can do the same now if you really want to.

I reckon Unsworth's future may rest on the early bird season ticket sales.
If I am not mistaken, this buy in period usually ends before the season is over, so I assume the board will take stock at that point in time, by weighing up the cost of sacking Unsworth (and getting some more ST sales with the right appointment) vs. the cost of keeping him and selling less.
I can't really see a sacking before then, and the above scenario is perhaps wishful thinking in itself.

Why would he leave Gateshead for an interim job here?
I think he means Williamson as the long term option in the summer.

Tollet is crap. He is decent within a time band of the pitch, anything 10 yard from the opposition box.
We can't carry someone like that. Either he ups his fitness and his work rate or he should be dropped. Simply shite since his contract extension.
Week in week out he's the most physically feeble and the least hard working. Given he can't pass either he pretty much symbolises all that is wrong with our team.
Scathing but can't really argue with any of that.

It's not my source - just seen a few people say it on Twitter...
Fella on twitter with 4 followers and a few tweets about being a well 'ard hooligan seems to have started it.
That's that then put to bed then.

If it is true, it seems not all of the senior staff and board know about it.

Signing a defender who was in the Prem last season on loan from Wigan and who joined Wigan on loan yesterday and commenting on a £1.5m signing that happened on FIFA.
Never change, OWTB.

Not sure on Porter but Lumaba, Stobbs, Windass, Leutwiler, Da Silva, Angol and J Clarke are gone.
What's going on with this Cliff? J Clarke back in the team following his injury about a week after this post.

Vaughan sold. Hull City I believe.

I've read his comments regarding his no-show for the post match interview. Says it was pre-planned. Also said that he pulled out of Colclough deal, not Mr Rothwell...
Why not just be honest?
Fairly obvious it was a storm out considering Ebbrell was surprised at having to do it in his place and had no idea where the manager was.
