The ball ended up in the net, so he did the right thing?
Forgive me if i'm wrong here, but that's the aim of the bloody game.
Exactamondo.
Who gives a :censored: whether he could've / should've played Winchester in.
He scored.

What does LA have that Oldham doesn't??
Steel Panther. WASP. Motley Crue. Metallica.
And you don't need to wear a hat, scarf and gloves in the middle of August .
-
I've gone for Turner. Like astottie says, played very well and goals win games.
I was also very impressed with Gerrard. I'd loved to have been able to hear what he kept saying to their mard arse left winger who looked like he was going to cry or throw a tantrum. Big tart.
-
At the moment even his worst critics would welcome him back with open arms.
I wouldn't. I said he was crap before he left and i'm of exactly the same opinion now.
Recalling him would make no difference what-so-ever.

Did it for the first time on Saturday.
Congratulations. Hat off to you.
Did you put a bet on as well?
-
Nope never a yellow, couldn't get out of the way, foul yes yellow never.
You generally talk a lot of sense pal but, on this occasion, you're wrong. Even with my blue tinted specs on the first one was a definate yellow, second one not far behind, deserved red card.
Had that have been an opposition player we'd have been going bananas.
-
I've not put a bet on for 20+ years. Last time I did it I had to physically walk in the bookies in Eccles Precinct to put it on, none of this on line :censored:e. I bet on Paul Bernard to score first at about 6 - 1 and won about £30.
I don't see the problem with betting against us. My mate Russ is Latics through and through yet does it all the time. Wins regularly as well. Don't see him as a traitor at all. Just good business sense.

Their third goal just looked like a big goal mouth scramble in "real time" yesterday but :censored: me ,having seen it again, our keeper wants shooting. He could have :censored:ing headed it clear it was that close to him. He was toss for their first as well.
Their second was just poor bad luck though.

1st one was never a yellow....
Of course it was, yellow card all day long. Massive foul.
-
Neither was Yellow a card.....the first one the guy knocked it wide off him then ran into Lockwoods back...played for a got but never a foul
I know we're all a bit biased on here but come on mate, get real. Lockwood's 1st booking was a massive foul, yellow card all day long. The 2nd yellow may have been a little harsh but, that said, it was a silly challenge to make having already been booked.

The hardest in my sixty years was an 'hopeless player called Sandy Wann. He had thighs bigger than any other footballers chest. I remember arriving after half time at York with Oldham 1 goal up. (train had derailed). As I walked onto the ground the York winger took the ball past our fullback and went into a tackle with Wann. Both players had a foot either side of the ball. There was an explosive crack and a scream. With a perfectly legitimate tackle Wann had broken the wingers leg in two places. No subs in those days so after a very long stoppage York had to play with ten men and just tried to defend. Oldham happy with one nil just defended and it was the most boring half a game I have ever watched.
The most boring half a game you ever watched eh?
You must've missed the entire Dave Penney era ha ha.

In my 25 years+ watching Latics it's got to be Doug Hodgson for me. :censored:ing nails.

Dowie 100% YES from me.

.......gagging for a double dose of Steel Panther at Manchester Apollo this weekend?
-
High wage.
:censored: output.
Get rid.
He'd lost all value.
This. All day.
Granted he's come good elsewhere but he was :censored:ing terrible when he played for us.
It was the right time to call it quits for both of us.
-
Eh? Players reading fans forums, they've got better things to do in their spare time.
I know i'd have a sneaky peek if it were me.
-
No, you grow up.
No you.
Or i'll get my Dad on you.

Our skipper is telling the latics website that he is pleased a rival side for a play off place has taken our manager mid play off 'push'.
That's not quite how he put it. I took it as the usual wishy washy media bollox that they all spout.
He could hardly say that he couldn't believe the little snake-in-the-grass :censored:ing weasel had deserted us could he?
-
I didn't like Lee Johnson's choice in shoes much either.

There's been some nonsense posted over the past few days but this is up there with the worst of it.
Most of it's been been posted by Clifford in fairness.

Stop being so :censored:ing reasonable.
Sorry :-)
It'll never catch on on here .

There is a lot a speculation presented as facts on this forum generally, and the discussion about the loss of our manger is no different.
I recall people being very upset with Dowie and the way he said one thing but did another at the death, and the same accusations are being presented against LJ.
How many people on this board would tell their manager that they were applying for jobs outside their existing company before it was a done deal? How many are happy to say and do the things at their current job that is expected of them, but then be all positive when you go for a job interview about the 'exciting opportunity', and be all about the new job once you have accepted it?
All of us I'd guess.
LJ doesn't have any affiliation with OAFC, he has no reason to do anything other than what is best for himself (as does almost everyone else in football, and the workplace in general). To expect behaviour different from this is in my opinion naive.
In terms of SC. Well once someone has got another offer and wants to leave then there is very little you can do to keep them. Whatever the compensation figure is, it may or may not have been negotiable (could be a release clause), but the sharing the internal details of contracts and terms etc in this type of situation is not fair to those involved (these are private matters) and also probably not a good idea when you are looking for another manager to behave in a way that might put other managers off i.e. sharing personal details of contracts with the media.
We will all have our views, but I imagine that SC is as disappointed as most fans to lose a promising manager during the most promising season for a while. Whether he could have prevented it, or if he could he could afford to (I wonder if Barnsley have made offers of playing budgets etc that we cannot match) is for SC to know, not us. Asking for a public response to provide the details I think is unfair and unnecessary.
Stop being so :censored:ing reasonable.

Right so I've had time to calm down and get some perspective. Having listened to DH on that link, I'm coming round to the idea.
It was unfair of me to just write him off without thought. It's not his fault and he's been asked to do it, he's not pushed it like Sherwood did at Spurs.
I hope to god it's not long term but for now he's got my full backing. I'll blame my meltdown on LJ :censored:ing us over.
:censored: me. Are you my wife in disguise?

Dowie and Shez got yo the play offs playing wingers/wing backs & the donkey lashers success was built on fast wingers And all out out attack
But there's tough wingers like Eyres, Low, Liddell who can look after themselves then there's mard arse wingers like Dayton and Morais who hide....
Agree about Dayton but i'd have Morais back at BP no problem.

Did he mention that we'd smashed them 6 v 0 on aggregate this season?
