Re Tommy Wright - he was our coach under Shez and left at the end of the season when Dangerous Dave Penney took over, presumably because he did not fit within DP's plans and it was not his choice. So, as a coach, the club has got rid of him and now he's left of his own accord. In this fickle world of football, he's done nothing wrong.
I don't blame Tommy for a minute for going as well, would no doubt be out on his arse when the new man comes in and brings his own assistant with him, leaving him unemployed.
LJ however is a :censored:ing snake.
-
.....when LJ returns with Barnsley?
Big cheer?
Polite applause?
Ignore?
Abuse?
Launch a half eaten chicken balti with deadly accuracy?
I'm going for polite applause unless he says or does something that really p*sses me off!!!
At £2.80p a pop, the only place my pie is going is in my gob.
And if only they still did chicken balti pies. They were outstanding.

I do admire Corney he has always had the same mentality that he won't stand in the way of anyone wanting to develop or further their career
Either that or he'd sell his heart and lungs if someone wafted a £5 note anywhere near him .
-
I hope we lose Saturday, kill off bollocks like this thread.
13th here we come.
Come on Clifford.
Play nice.
-
Come 5pm he might not thank you for them ha ha...
-
It'd be like banging my best mate's wife.
Wrong but I wouldn't mind trying it.
-
Is Philly playing, oh of course he is
Good.
-
Bollocks I've got a android phone.
And :censored:e taste in music .
-
Would have loved to see him in behind strikers... In place of philliskirk.
I'm glad you're not the manager.
-
I really don't get all this "most talented player in the squad", "there's definately a player in there" guff.
On the whole, he was utterly crap. Totally ineffective, toothless, and couldn't cross a bridge.
-
Think it has to be played at the next opportunity doesn't it? Especially as it's been postponed twice now.
Would think Tues 17th Feb would be a likely possibility, is that HT week?
I sincerely hope not. I'm in Dublin from 15th - 18th, intentionally booked it when there were no home games...
-
I think he's a dick. That's no secret.
I think he threw a wobbler and knows from past experience that threatening to walk away tends to get a lot of people back onside, after a :censored: up like last week.
This all week long....
I'm very grateful for what he's done for my club financially but, otherwise, i'm with you two.
-
Now he's been cleared can we get him back? Better than that fraud Dayton.
Montano was crap. Dayton is also crap.
How about we just look elsewhere and have done with it?
-
If he cannot make his points clearly then he is not fit for the position
Have you never said anything that's come out not quite how you intended? Ever?
-
I'll be there tomorrow, as will the Old Man. Never in doubt, Evans or no Evans.
I fully expect a dire 0 v 1 reverse though.
-
4th Tier had far better Away Trips than 3rd Tier not being funny but i'd pick that division over the Premiership poison anyday of the week
So you'd rather be in the basement division than the Premier League?
You need to see somebody.
-
If he wants to remain as a full time Director on the Board without consulting with the Fans then he should resign as Chairman of the Trust but ask Corney if he can stay on the Board!
Just a bit. That's exactly what he's been doing anyway so he might as well go the whole hog.
-
Absolutely not.
This. No way.
Although I might refuse to ever visit Wales again in protest.
-
You do realise that Ched Evans had been drinking? I doubt a sober guy would lick a girls front bottom after their mate had bare backed her.
He deserved jailing for that alone, consent or no consent.
-
I Support Oldham Athletic. One Man will not change that. See you Saturday.
That's exactly where i'm at Aaron, couldn't agree more. Players, good and bad, come and go. One man won't stop me watching the team I love. I've barely missed a home game in the last 25 years and i'm not going to start now.
Would I consider cancelling my trip to Wembley in July and sending AC/DC their tickets back because the drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with some potentially serious offences? Would I :censored:.
-
If it was me you would all be saying "he is a nob needs banning" but fair play Tony
I don't think you're a knob who needs banning Westy. Just don't sit directly behind me next time we play at Anfield ha ha.
Or Gillingham.
-
Haters gonna hate.
Did he eat your nan or something?
Have you had a sense of humour bypass or something?
And unless he's going to :censored:ing dig them both up, no he didn't eat my nan.
-
can see him in court dressed as the hulk, quality.
That'd be funny as :censored:. If he does it, we should have a whip round on here and help him pay his fine.
-
If you think that was us playing well today in the final 3rd you're mistaken. It'll be down to Johnson and Danny P to make way IMO.
I don't think we played anywhere near as well as we can today but we won 3 v 0.
If your solution is to drop the guy who scored 2 of our goals, or the guy who set up all 3, I despair.
Dean Holden in charge for foreseeable future

This. I've met Dean several times away from BP. He lives round the corner from me and is an old school friend of my younger brother's.
He's a thoroughly nice bloke. He's also a very experienced pro and former club captain.
Other than TP (who i'm presuming didn't fancy it) I don't see a better option from within the club, seeing as Tommy's left as well.
As a short term measure, and rather than rush into appointing a new manager, I really don't see the problem.
Our current predicament is of Lee Johnson's making, not Dean Holden's.
