  1. The trust have since its formation been working with people like Adrian stores link to some info and members of the Manchester Business Commerce Link to info to ensure that if OAFC was ever in the position it was in 2004, The trust and OAFC Fans would have better links with people who could help. The Trust have over the last 6 years networked with other trust and organisations to seek advise and share experiences to make any transition less worrying.

The Trust do not have the funds to buy the club but we do have the basic knowledge to ensure the club would exist if the worst was to happen. Unlike Stockport, Trust Oldham have worked with the club over a long period of time to understand how a club works. This means we would be able to work with any new investment instead of having to do what Stockport did and try to run the club itself.

OAFC is not able to support itself on the revenue it self creates. As a trust we have learned that a club needs structure and the right people.

We would need to organise events and a new war chest but more importantly we would need to use the contacts and networks created by the trust to find new owners.

OAFC needs private funding to top up the revenue stream in currently creates at BP.

OAFC at a new stadium ..... That is a another story, 24/7 revenue creation means that any new owners wouldnt have to be multi-millionaires, just proven in logically business strategies !

Rick, the bit in bold is what i meant, if the owners walk away leaving us self sufficient or close to it what funds do the trust have if any to buy a bigger stake in the club, if that was possible and so have more say ? if that is very little should the trust be fund raising for this potential rather than ploughing what money the trust has into the club especially if ground is broken on the new ground as this possibly gives the owners the get out they are possibly working towards ?

  2. Rick

One question m8, what is the trust doing for the future when TTA walk away hopefully leaving us self sufficient and a new owner hopefully buys into OAFC ? Is the trust in a position to try to buy a bigger stake in the club or will the trust be coming cap in hand asking the fans to contribute again ? or is the trust happy to always sit in the background like now ? Actually there's more than one question lol

  3. Can't stand driving home seeing all random women in England tops and stuff and brands, all the fake flags on cars, windows and street signs. One thing in football matters and that is Oldham, its personal to you. I can't buy into any of this country over club rubbish in the slightest, shouldn't even come anywhere close in my opinion. England fans remind me of the premier league and dirty red fans.

There's a fair bit of rubbish posted on this forum but take a bow you've excelled yourself with that, enjoy watching the national lottery draw and casualty

  4. Do we know this to be true though? We are still waiting to hear how Barry was re-elected and if it complied with the Trust constitution. How was the process advertised, was he nominated via due process if required, who was in charge of the election process, did Barry himself stand aside from managing the process? All that was mentioned about it on here was an announcement of the results and certain Trust Directors telling us that Barry is the only person who could do the job. This does not inspire confidence in me, but this could be fixed if someone were to provide details of how the process ran. If this is not possible I may join and request the information formally, as I want to know how the custodian of the shareholding I helped pay for got his position.

Let's face it how long should it take to answer the questions asked about the election process/constitution ? the silence is deafening from the trust !!

  5. I appreciate the moderators will jump on me for starting a new thread on this topic because I am aware that Rick Attwood has already put an appeal out.

I just wanted to add that we are trying to save costs at the club and this in an area in which fans cans help us.

I know some fans will not participate because they are strongly opposed to the move and I respect that.

We need a large number of people to complete the job to lessen the load on those who have already been good enough to come forward.

I am asking fans to come forward please to help with this task.

Your efforts would be very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Barry

I'll try and match what your doing Barry

  6. With the masses now not attending, a simple question.

Would you come back to B.p to support the Team, if Penney left?

Under 3000 for a league game ! This cant happen again, we need to back the lads even if they play like my Aunty !

Are you just trying to gauge how many would come back rich so TTA know how much were all willing to pay towards getting shut of such an inept manager

  7. This thread has now been open for nearly 12 hours and only 2/3 people have said they are attending, yet we have page upon page of peoples disgust and opposition to the TTA plans and nobody can be bothered it seems ?? i fully understand if people have commitments but c'mon are we really going to make ourselves look like pricks by not turning up ? As Delia said WHERE ARE YOU !!!!

  8. I have advocated getting behind the team at home, as we do at away games, until I'm blue in the face, but nearly everyone is waiting for the team to play well before they react positively. Chicken and egg situation.

I believe chanting, singing and creating a good atmosphere can lift the team when things are not going well and confidence is low, but it seems not many agree with me. :disappointed:

Diego, i agree with your suggestions about creating an atmosphere but the club has split its home support by promoting the RRE as an optional home end but this maybe could be solved if the club used the lookers paddock as access to each end ie - the fans could sit behind which ever end were attacking to create said atmosphere ?
