  1. A player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for receiving a second caution in the same match will be suspended automatically from FA Premier League, Football League Cup and FA Challenge Cup matches commencing on the 14th day following the match in which he was sent off, until such time as his Club's recognised First Team has completed one (1) match in an approved Competition during the period covered by its opening match in The Football Association Premier League and ending with the final match in which the Club is playing in a domestic Competition organised by The Football Association or The Football Association Premier League.

So doesn't this mean in two weeks time ......? Or is it just another Premier Leagur exemption?

Under the new fast track rules the ban starts immediately unless you appeal and you can't appeal against 2 yellows, i think lol

  2. Not as I read it. But I'm not an expert on it.

    Second sending off would:

"Players dismissed from the Field of Play in a FTCM, having previously in the same

season been sent off in a FTCM (or suspended under the Standard Directions set out

in Schedule A in these Regulations for an incident in a FTCM), will be suspended for

one extra match for each such previous sending off or suspension, in addition to the

automatic suspension applicable to the dismissal.

For the purposes of this regulation a previous dismissal in a non FTCM will only be

taken into account where it was for violent conduct, serious foul play or spitting."

10 bookings (I assume he now has 7):

"If a Player accumulates ten recorded cautions in FTCM between the opening day

of the Playing Season and the second Sunday of April in the same Season, he will

be suspended automatically for a period covering:-

    Two First Team matches"

I was thinking of this section

    (g) Players dismissed from the Field of Play in a FTCM, having previously in the same

season been sent off in a FTCM (or suspended under the Standard Directions set out

in Schedule A in these Regulations for an incident in a FTCM), will be suspended for

one extra match for each such previous sending off or suspension, in addition to the

automatic suspension applicable to the dismissal.

  3. Hughes not allowed to appeal:

"A claim of wrongful dismissal may be lodged only for on-field offences which result in

a sending off, except for two cautions leading to a dismissal."

    Misses the FA Cup replay:

"A Player who is dismissed from the Field of Play for receiving a second caution in the

same match will be suspended automatically from FTCM commencing forthwith, until

such time as his Club’s First Team has completed its next FTCM."

Does he miss an extra game because he's already served a suspension for 5 bookings ? can't decide myself after reading the rules !

  4. It would'nt be viable to heat up say 3,000 pies and pour that many pints. What about the poor sods like jolly at an evening match when England aren't playing. There he is in a massive queue, waiting patiently to buy his pie and pint to put money in the coffers, and missing what's happening on the pitch.

From what i've seen lately, "except scunny" i would'nt be missing much ! Although i'll be there as usual except if i'm double booked

  5. That's what happens when you don't do full research and book things without checking out FA Cup replay dates.

The ernieflag will be managing two games in two days in two countries!

Let me think ? 3 days in Berlin or an FA cup replay against Cheltenham where i can't sit in my seat in the home end because it's shut ! No brainer !

  6. oh no, their listening figures have gone up you know.

    can't possibly see that myself.

(makes no difference to OAFC this, but) people all over Manchester used to listen to the Rev religiously when the DJ's could play & talk about real music of their own choosing. they'll now listen solely to XFM as the next best alternative.

those people have gone. those of us IN Oldham have gone. are you seriously telling me they've not only been replaced but added to already?? bollox.

    Bring on Radio Republic !!

  7. The Rev and Latics should work closer together and it looks like now we both will. I was on mobile at Swindon but we have now got some proper equipment to broadcast from grounds with, problem on saturday was that Swindon couldn't accommodate this so it was back to the mobile. Stu and Roy at Latics have helped me loads with the new stuff...

It's early days for the new Rev but I know Steve Penk and John the station manager are very keen to make it work as are Alan etc at the club... It will get better.. granted it's never going to be as good as being at the game but I know I'll give it my best shot as will all others concerned... as long as I never ever sound like Alan Green

It's great that the club have found a station to partner with but as usual were 2/3 years too late, since the new ownership of the station have taken over they have alienated there own listeners by totally changing there style which proved very successful and therefore a lot of people have ditched the revolution and i would edge my bets that a lot of people who have ditched it were also latics fans.

  8. There's a group of Latics fans meeting in the Royal George right next to Euston station at 12.45pm on Saturday. The more the merrier if you want to join us.

Or if any of you are getting the train down, a few of us are grabbing a spot of breakfast in Manchester at about 8.45am and then getting the 9.40am from Piccadilly to Euston. Again, you're welcome to join us.

A few of us are on the 8.42 train and we are always at the george before every england game. see you there

  9. i remember there was a pub that we used to visit while in london before a match its near euston station ,there was always manure and latics fan there and once we played football outside when arsenal fans attacked us only to run away when over 50 manure fans camel along to help us ,anyone remember the name of the pub?

    Royal George

  10. We're all on the same flight out Rick... in fact, keep being nice as I'm hoping we might be able to blag a lift over to Liverpool airport if I can find a nice friendly Sheffield taxi driver who might have space in his car.

Ps. Andorra's been confirmed as being played in Barca
