I spoke to a couple of my mates who went to the game last night and they said that Stam was one of our better performers last night.

My personal opinion is that I prefer Stam, but there's no doubting Gregan's class.

No mention on the BBC of him having played for us. Just says he started at Bury and moved to Sheff U for £100,000. Lazy journalism.

And you can't even spell his name right!!!

I'm all for a Stam-Hazell partnership. They were superb together last season. A Gregan-Hazell back line is just pure brute force. Stam-Gregan is possibly the most FLAIR centre half pairing ever.

I wouldn't complain about any of those permutations. Although, on a personal leve, I'd like to see Stam getting a few more games.

It was great pre-Millenium.
