Matt Chambers reckons he had a strong tip that the job was Pembertons this morning, but this Steve Robinson's name is the one being circulated at the club now.

so all we can do is wonder why Pemberton chose not to take it, or that we'd prefer Robinson? the mind boggles tbh!

I passed ISZ earlier walking the dog and SOD and some other fella walked out to his car. The other fella could have been mistaken for TP - if he wasn't away with the yoofs. No idea who he was tho, aside from tall,grey hair and looking like TP's long lost brother!

I'm with scapegoat, I think it's Giggs. it's strange how it's all gone very quiet on the Kuqi front since Giggsy left United.

he's a couple owner of Salford City Reds, albeit 10% share. Is there not some rule that you can't have interests in more than one club?

I think we've more chance of Sheridan coming back than Giggs

but they'd be putting money into OAFC's coffers which would help no end!

Poignant question how did we get to the situation of having so few contracted players & who is to blame for us being in this predicament?

...a number of loan players all going back to their clubs

... Shez 'maybe' letting a few know that they weren't in his plans before he jumped ship!

... a few more can obviously see what's going on behind the scenes and have moved on to ensure their livelihoods

... lack of manager to ensure new arrivals

... and to add to the mix, I'd also hazard a guess that a mix of all the above will possibly be asked by potential signings if we're all worth it!

either way, I'd say it's something along those lines!

funny how Craig Cash in early doors acts pretty well .. yet in that Rovers :censored:e he's absolutely bobbins! .. always looks to me to be trying too hard ..

Early Doors must have had something about it as James Mcavoy has done ok for himself (incidently also had a part in Band of Brothers) ..

only recent thing that's happened to me with regards to Ched Evans is when I was trooping around Auckland last February. Was visiting some monument and as busy as it was I heard a group of middle aged blokes comment about the fact I had a Latics top on. One of them simply replied about how we were signing CE! Now to me, I would say that if someone mentioned the fact I was a Latics fan (and not simply an Oldham fan) must mean they were from the locality! .. that pissed me off!

That said, dressed as a primani holiday manakin as they were, I figured the next time I was likely to see them was at a free match when they'd be wearing their BOVIS tops and harping on how great we were back in the day!

Still got loads of time, pre-season training usually starts within the next week or 2. Fitness is generally started with, im sure someone will be in place to do that now.....

I'm not sure as the clock keeps ticking and the days in the month are passed I think we get less and less choosy!

the question is.. What's more important .. getting someone in asap or getting the right man in? .. one is quickly overcoming the other

Of that is genuine from someone at the club he shouldn't be at the club beyond tomorrow.

Maybe it was an omen when walking to my car at Albion Farm yesterday i spotted FB,he got out of his across from me. Had a quick natter, asked him twice if he was coming and didn't allude to anything.. said he'd been on a golfing trip with JR and a few of the players from his era ..
