  1. We dropped the membership scheme? I'm guessing it was for cost cutting reasons, or were there other factors?

Personally I'd bring it back, I know I'd get one, even if I dont manage to get to a game. Just as long as the club gets my money. The vouchers that were normally used for buying tickets for cup games etc. I'd also add a few vouchers where you can bring along a 'friend' who can pay at a reduced price. e.g Member pays 18quid and the guest pays 15, or if its a kid, they pay 5.

Though at the current gate prices I'd say that for a random one off visitor that 20 quid is a little steep and couple that with our inconsistency this year, it puts off regular and new fans from coming. If in the hopeful/unlikely/miraculous* chance we were to go up this year, can we guess what our crowds will be next year? Double, 1 or 2K more?

    *Delete as appropriate

Also add some vouchers that offer some discount at the club shop, just to encourage more people to spend their money at the club.

Of course the system could and likely would be abused by some, but most systems are never perfect.

  2. Football must act to avoid Racism charge.

The chairmen and owners of English football clubs have been warned that they risk being branded "a bunch of racists" if they do not take immediate action to address the startling lack of black managers in the national game.

"It's embarrassing and something is drastically wrong - the statistics don't lie," said Brendon Batson, the FA's consultant on equality and diversity. "I'm an optimistic person but there will come a time when we'll have to be more radical.

What's does more radical mean? - For me thats saying that they'll force clubs to employ a manager based purely on the colour of his skin just so they can put up a set of numbers that says we have X% ethnic managers in the UK.

What an absolute load of old tosh. Surely it boils down to the fact that if they're good enough then regardless of the colour of their skin, they'll get the job.

  3. It was a simple question, which do people prefer? There will always be someone who wont be happy with a poll result.

It's a redundant poll now anyway, as my question was answered in post #2. There will be a new Chaddy end, so common sense says that we'll shift over to RRE until the new Chaddy end is built. As I said, I'm not up to date with the plans, so was under the assumption that the Chaddy end was staying as it was.

Mods - You can delete this poll if you wish.

  4. Good grief.

Where do I normally sit? - At my desk in my office in Munich(as my profile says), thats Germany in case you didnt know.

So, as you can guess I dont get to games week in week out sadly. As to the 'new' Chaddy end, I know very little about the redevelopment plans for BP, other than the new stand thats being started on in the summer.

Yep, I'm new to the board, in fact about 2 hours new.

EDIT: I did do a search, to little avail. Thats why I posted this.

  5. With the redevelopment of BP starting at the end of the season, would people consider switching the home end to the Rochdale Road stand*? IIRC there was a fan vote years ago which rejected the idea, I think even myself at the time was against it. Mainly because it wasnt long after our stint in the Premiership and felt the Chaddy End was where we should be if we were to return to that level.

I just thnk that now is a good time to bring it up again, if the club were to suggest it, I wouldnt be against the idea. If we're going to have a brand new stand, then I think the 'home end' should have the better facilities.

*Although if this were to happen, I'd want the new stand to be renamed. <_<

Best away match you've been to?

I wouldnt say it was the best match, in fact we were pretty terrible. Winning 1-0 at Bolton in the FA Cup in 1994.

    All Time Greatest Player?

Denis Irwin...did this guy ever have a bad game?

    Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)?

Hmmm, I guess a lot of people would go with Tranmere of late? I dunno, I never really saw us play under Ronnie Moore. Rochdale....I really do not like them.
