just thinking of getting a legends latics team going on fm10 and want to make it as honest as possible, anyone fancy giving their opinions on what the team of 1990 would come in at in terms of individual stats?

so O'Grady would have been the difference between survival and relegation?

 

granted he didn't get a proper chance here but he played plenty for Stockport in this league and did nothing there either - and that's a side where inexperienced players like Oli Johnson (?) and Baker have banged them in/got big moves.

 

people talk about being worried about the way the club's being run - i'd be VERY worried if we hadn't taken £50k profit on a bad signing.

we'll never know, at least we would have a striker playing up front actually in form! me personally i'd like to have waited until we got another striker in before we let him go 50k or not, if we dont get anyone in we're looking doomed, how much will that cost us?!

In fairness he doesnt help himself. We were quick off the mark to sign a midfeilder that we dont need who he plays out of posistion anyway but still hasn't got a forward in.

you have to ask why would we get rid of a stiker (ogrady) without another lined up if our position with strikers is so bad, surely the long term affect of relegation will dwarf the short term income of the transfer?

here's a wacky idea, at the moment we all agree that one of the main issues is that the players lack any connection to the club and are probably waiting until next season when they leave and get another signing on fee, so as bad as we are playing and relegation looks on the cards, do we drop most of them and look into the reserves/youth, kids with abit of hunger!

Now i know the team will be young and probably out muscled, but would we want a team that gives sweat and blood but goes down, or a team that goes for the most boring draws in the world and escapes relegation through the skin of their teeth?

I would have joined but cant commit to too many matches! by the way has everybody here joined the virtual pro team? OWTB FC, bring any latics fan, they dont have to be just from this forum, it doesnt matter if your good or keigan parker, its just for fun!

all youhave to commit to is a max of 3 games per week, these can either be played in one evening or whenever you and your opponent can arrange, 3 games is nothing too bad, if you get knowck out of the cup it will only be 2!!

Welcome to the first Latics Xbox League of 2010 - in association with OWTB.co.uk.

We’re looking to collect a group of Latics fans together to play in a FIFA10 League on xbox and we’ve already had a great response.

Fans should check back to this thread for updates and chat about the league, you also have to join me on Facebook by searching for “fifa league oldham paul” – where I will be sending out fixture, updates and so on.

We will be looking for people who can commit to 3 fixtures a week, which can be arranged direct between you and your opponent.

getting on facebook takes 2 mins, dont even have to give your real name, just need somewhere where i can get all the fixtures in and out, we may be getting players to fill up the league who are not on these boards, i hate facebook myself but its using their features thats helpful!

The first part is now set up, anyone wishing to join the league please send a friend request on facebook following the link http://www.facebook.com/#/profile.php?ref=...mp;id=537056600, teams that available are all premier teams with chelsea and man u being replaced with rangers and celtic, when you send the request please add a personal message with 3 choices of teams and your gamertag, first come should get their top pick, i will then send you an invite into a group that will issue fixtures to be played for that week, you will also recieve an invite through xbox live asking you to join the league.

Feel free to ask anyone you know who may be interested in joining as ideally i'm looking for a full house with 22 teams, if not i'll start it with what we get, as mentioned before I am looking to have a prize at the end of the season for the winner.
