I completely support fan-owned football clubs. I also see it being the future; not yet, some years off, but the growing resentment with ownership - and the awful capitalistic nature of the sport -will reach a breaking point.

 

I'd fully support any move for this club to be run by its supporters. Long way off yet, though.

after the events of this weekend i just cant bear to watch this game again. I had it on my hard drive and i watched it every day last week. Feel desperately sorry for dickov.

yes i may have had a few but im talking as a true fan. I love this club through thick and thin and like has been said in so many threads i so wanted dickov to succeed.

ill support this club till the day i die and ill never change that.

Just hope the supporters will actually do that and support the team no matter who the next manager is... and just for the record i hope its dowie next.

It is obvious that, while Corney is nearing the end of his tether (or he is there already) he recognized the folly of sacking Dickov the day after a historic victory for the club. The negative publicity backlash alone could have caused irreparable damage. Also, I genuinely believe that he wants Dickov to succeed and has provided him with the ammunition to pull the rabbit out of the hat and get Latics out of the relegation dog-fight.

 

Lose the next few games and I reckon that Corney will let the axe fall...and surely to God, Dickov already knows that.

i cant help thinking after yesterdays game that dickovs body language knew he was a man on borrowed time.. thoughts anyone? also a few of my mates at work were all of the opinion after watching it on tv were saying the ground is to all intents and purposes is a :censored:hole. i still think we need a new ground

i dont think ive ever been so depressed in over 30 years of being a latics fan.. we're just not doin anythin and i honestly cant see where the next win is coming from. No ideas at all. Anybody else think we're goin to get absolutely slaughtered on sunday.
