  1. Yes telling folks how it is I don't have a problem with however telling them if they don't like it don't f***ing come.....erm no! Football and football club's to those that support them tend to throw common sense most have out the window and in many cases even more so the longer they follow them. Most people also tend to feel they own a piece of that club rightly or wrongly and when someone the likes we've all seen come and go and never to glance backwards tell you to f*** off and don't come kinda does more harm than good.

I'm sorry but that is absolute rubbish. What is the point of going to a match and then slagging the players off. If you cant be bothered to support the team then dont go. I remember having an argument with a so called mate of mine because all he did was have a go at the players. Pointless. Like someone else said its a wonder many managers havent done this more, including players. If i'd have been Richard butcher that day at barnsley, i'd have gone over the moaning twats who pass themselves off as our fans and told them all to **** off. I honestly think we have the worst set of fans ever

    Rant over

  2. fences where deffo up prior to the Sheff Weds riot as i can clearly remember trading punches through it with a yorkshire cock who spat at me at the corner by the broadway/ chaddy

i work with a load of wednesday fans who can clearly remember the riot game. Just about got memories of it as i was only 10 at the time

  3. So Liverpool are the Plastic Fake Red Sox, and Utd theoriginal.

    How ironic!

    Fake Plastics v Original

Edit, am treying a tenuous link to LEague One and Oldham. er, I will edit in a minute

Personally i'm sick to death of hearing about liverpool in the media like the rest of us give a toss, and their fans protesting about the owners just shows them up for the complete hypocrites they are. If they were top of the premier league they would not care who owns the club.

Typical football fans really, and i include our supporters in that statement as well

  4. Unfortunately not seen only heard as yet but the transformation in spirit/feeling truly amazing. Even at this stage its not unrealistic to dream a little and if we can go to a tough venue like Charlton and battle out a point from a contender why shouldn't we dream and have some success. As posted elsewhere the games v Yeovil and Brizzle are key games as IF visions of a big season have to contribute to PDs vision of fortress Boundary Park. I can live with us not going up if we show the passion and have something to enjoy.

The home form last year was worse than shocking as Dopey Dave hadnt a clue how to manage the individuals involved. Now we have players who are transformed, focussed, together and HAVING to play for a place. DJ, Lewi, Black, Lee, Stephens, Brill take a bow. Furman take a bonus. Chris Taylor was a nailed on starter but now has to perform. Smalley sounded busy when on today and hungry to be in team. Feeney epitomises a Dickov type, Tounkare well have a feeling hes a Jermaine Beckford in making at this level. His cross for Lee last week was measured unlucky not to score 3 or four more so far, yet only his 3rd proper game in England.

My biggest fear is Dickov and Taggart being poached by another club even at this stage. Having said that I think PD is far brighter than the average manager and knows building a good reputation is better long term. I absolutely love the fact we have gone to Charlton and mixed it and annoyed them. I hated Dickov as a player as an annoying little booger but a team with same outlook is excellent. Well done all concerned including away support sounded excellent.

All i can say is roll on sept28th, my wednesday supporting mates at work are getting slightly worried. Pre-season they thought it was a 3 pointer, now they are not so sure. I'll be there to cheer them on anyway

  5. Three very positive results so far. And, to me, today's is the best of those, even though we were unlucky not to get the win.

But, before a ball was kicked, I would have been happy for us just to stay up this season. I'll stand by that for now. I fear that, if early season form raises expectations too much, then a respectable season might be seen as a huge failure.

Given our budget, gates, Dickov's inexperience, etc., we have no right to expect to be serious promotion contenders. For once, I think we should all just sit back and enjoy whatever comes our way, without building any unreasonable expectations based upon a very decent start to the season.

Yeah i agree... expectations need to be lowered i think

  6. it seems our beloved manager has a right reputation amongst rival fans. A few people i've been speaking to at work cant stand the bloke. One is a spurs fan who called him a nasty piece of work after he dumped ledley king into the advertising boards. But the majority of wednesday and united fans call him a little ****.

Brilliant.. it seems his philosophy is transferring to the players..

  7. Just watching an old episode of this sitcom, an episode called the cup final. Anyway in the plot its supposed to be Man utd v birmingham, but every time they show a scene on tv i'm pretty sure its the mighty latics instead.

I'm enjoying watching this though as i missed it first time round
