Think we may being a tad harsh here chaps. Would you know your arse from your elbow if you went to the Basketball Ground or whatever it is now? Apart from bigging the entertainment value up a little bit I thought it was a fairly even handed summary. Baaaaa
Nope im being totally fair....he's rubbish....shoddy work
-
The guy that wrote that is a moron. He says at the begin Davies passes to O'Grady then says Liddle passes to o'Grady for the goal.
Says Gregan miscontrols it when he deliberatly let it through his legs as he thought it was going to Taylor. Did he watch the game. Sorry to sound petty but come on get the facts right
-
Best players tonight IMO
O'Grady
Hazell
Phillips
Smalley
Poorer performances tonight IMO
Lidds
Stam
Taylor (except when he was on the right)
I was probably the most impressed with O'Grady he was 10x times the player i expected upon his performance tonight, a strong and composed player...
I thought Stam looked good, didnt do anything wrong. Taylor didnt look comfortable at left back, sooooo much better right wing than left wing or left back. lidds wasnt great
-
Crossley - had nothing to do really .
Eardley- Solid game never got troubled
Hazell- Again solid first half subbed second
Gregan- Absolute nightmare moment for their goal and showing you get punished off the higher league strikers. After that won everything.
Taylor- fish out of water at left back had Gregan in his ear for most of the first half, Second half, better on the left then great on the right
Allot- Good game typical Allot
Whittaker- Impressed me good half
Liddell- Hate to say it but looks like he's lost all his pace and movement
Delmar Phillips-........... SIGN HIM UP!! We all knew hes tricky and fast but he's strong and put in 3 solid challenges and played some neat passes shame to only see him for a half
O grady- Very impressed, big tall pacey
Davies- Awesome game, covered alot of the pitch, Looked tired at the end and abit fed up of Taylors lack of passing
Fleming- Untroubled
Lomax- Good game
Stam- Looked good
Smalley- Looked fast and tricky
Maher- Looked a model pro never lost it but didnt see much else
Stephens- Mini Stevie G looks a good prospect
Hughes- IMO he looked abit unfit and he looked abit uneasy running but still his physical self
All in all good first half, things were abit quieter in the second and we came tired at the end but its too be expected, I thought Taylor didnt want to pass to Davies at the end lets hope they start communicating.
A good run out and nice to see all the players !!
Im really looking forward to the season!!!
KTF!!!!!
also agree, spot on review of everyone tonight. v impressed with the Davies/Grady combo in first half, the whole team looked sharpe

1 year deal, fishal sms
Nice! but i cant believe the chron got it right
-

Dont go then...people wouldn't for the 1st round of the FA Cup, let alone the 3rd. I get to pay a little bit towards my club tonight to see the lads...some for the first time. Great value to me!
Totally agree, cant wait to see the new guys for the first time.

Ronnie Moore Football Manager
-
Yeah, if the Chron are saying hes signing for us hes prob just signing a contract with Gillingham as we speak
-
I'd like it to be free, that'd mean I would be able to go.
It's either this or the masters and the masters takes priority!
Same here, cant afford both but i would rather pay money to the club i support over paying the organisers of the masters tournament (who im sure will be getting money off sky as well)
-
Which is the same as having 300 paying a tenner
Then you have the future benefits from the 3000 that see enough to want to come again
like they will only get 300 going tonight.
and didnt they try a lower entrance fee once or twice last season and get a decent crowd and then back to the same attendance next game.
-
Did you notice that in the photograph on the official site accompanying the article about the new Oldham Chron sponsorship deal the two Chronicle representatives look smart in their suits and ties and the two Simons and Alan on the other hand are tie-less and, frankly, scruffy?
It's really not good enough. Someone has to set a standard.
TTA OUT!!
And dont forget to get rid of shez as well
-
Exactly, so why dont they lower prices to attract a bigger crowd to attract people to pay during the season
Where are all these people gonna come from! they could charge £1 and still only get 3000 going tonight. Any drop in price wouldnt be worthwhile as it wouldn't attract enough people.
-
its a training session, not the FA cup 3rd round
Another jolly Latics fan.
Its a business. At the end of the day they need to make money and its not like we are watching the reserves.
-
£10 isnt bad to watch a championship standard team.......................its also nice to see Derby as well!
-
I worked at the petrol station at Asda when he was at burton and he would come and get petrol on his way down to training at about 7.30 in the morning. He would always stop and chat for 10 mins or so. Top guy, cant meet a nicer guy
-
How the hell did they win the vote, they are both s**t. I almost feel like not celebrating when we score
-
wow big loss if he's gone to Shrewsbury, he prob knew he would be warming the bench for us or be the key player for them
-
Anything but Guns Of Navarone
-
whatever the club do people will bitch and moan, they should just carry on what they are doing.
-
just wanna say well done to Shez- Attacking the transfer market so soon into the pre season. I think he has made great signing and im really looking forward to next season
-
I hope its not O'Grady from what I've just been reading on a Rotherham forum. The basic consensus is that he works hard, shows glimpses of brilliance but then loses the ball. Very greedy and doesnt know when to pass and that doesnt score enough

To be fair i dont think he would have done it in a league but no idea why he tried it last night
