  1. I was of the same "how the hell do you know what he does or doesn't do?" frame of mind until I found out from a very reliable source that the players consider him a bad assistant manager and neither like nor respect him.

A hinderance rather than a help apparently.

I don't like my boss 90% of the time, or his deputies but I get paid to do a job so bloody well get on with it - footballers need to start realising that they are employees and generously paid ones (at any level) at that

  2. The number 17 shirt seems to have been a bit of a cursed one since Scott Vernon, no one has lasted long in it, or been very good. Since Vernon from memory:

    Richard Butcher

Mooussa Dabo (altough it can be argued he never wore it)

    Matty Wolfenden

    Keigan Parker

    Warren Feeney

    Josh Parker

  3. The team has gone into a serious decline since Liverpool.

The loss to chesterfield was a massive kick in the teeth, corney probably is still having nightmares about the revenue that went down the bog after that loss.

The team is carrying individuals going thru the motions, the team is containing platers like mvoto who should have a red cross instead of a number,an accident waiting to happen everytime he touches the ball.

    The manager is tactically disasterous.

    I could go on,however...

We are going to be in a fight for survival this season, that much is obvious.

At the end of the season id get rid of PD,sorry, ive seen enough to realise we are going to nowhere under him.

His tactics, and substituions a times are shocking.

Even from a Latics fan that is a bollocks statement!

  4. There is zero chance of us getting the play offs so people can get that silly thought out their head.

We will be looking over our shoulders if anything! Someone said we have winnable games coming up but didnt we think that with Hartlepool, exeter, chesterfield? We have very tough games like both Sheffield clubs, MK Dons, Brentford, Stevenage, Rochdale all away, Charlton at home!

When you put it like that I tend to :censored: myself slightly...

  5. You're linking Hillsborough to what happened tonight? Really?

I'm :censored:ing furious at what's happened tonight. We should all be reflecting on what was a great performance against a quality side; on how the scoreline flattered Liverpool and we never deserved to lose 5-1; on how our supporters did us proud, outsinging the Kop for pretty much the whole match. Instead all anyone's going to want to talk about is the Adeyemi incident, i'm going to have to go into work on Monday and argue that he's always come across as a great kid and there's no way he'd make that up, and then i'm going to be going to the match in a couple of weeks trying to persuade people that Liverpool isn't a town full of racists. And on top of that you're using the incident tonight to sling mud over Hillsborough? Like a couple of dickheads shouting racist abuse tonight somehow means that it must be Liverpool's own fault that 96 of their fans died horribly and needlessly at a match 23 years ago?

Whatever was said shouted to Tom tonight was clearly disgraceful, BUT was the voice of one or a few pricks out of 38,000 to compare it to Heysel or Hillsbrough is just idiotic to say the least!! Whilst such comments should not be swept under the carpet they do seem to be taking away from the fact that a lowly league 1 side went to Anfield and matched those millionaire pansies ney bettered them for at least 40 minutes, our lads were like trojans tonight and 5-1 flattered the scousers greatly! lets applaud them and we can disect the controversy tomorrow!

  6. He's made some good saves, a superb one from a header in front of the Chaddy a few weeks ago.... Don't stop him being a liability and me having to put a hand over my eyes at crosses and balls into the box.

I have never shouted anything towards him, booed or had a go (loudly) at games but in my opinion he is not a good keeper, he's improved but I reckon there's alot better out there.

He's apparantly on a wedge so he's going to go.. I'd have a bet that he doesn't go to another league 1 club

Oh don't worry he gives me a fair share of coronary episodes too but we're a mediocre 3rd division club, I think we can do worse than Brill - and have done (Day, Blayney and Miskelly) I doubt the next one will be a world beater either unless we get a lucky loan in the Grant/Rachubka mould. Anyway, as pointed out, we digress, congrats on the contracts lads!!
