  1. I would say Lomax what a player but l was very surpised how well Alessandra did we could have had 4 or 5 who needs a striker when you have Mcdonald

I watched Allessandra play in the pre season and was very impressed with him!

picking up a bad injury was really unfortunate for him,i guess we would have seen a lot more of him otherwise.

You are right Spadam,he gave a really lively display last night.

  2. sorry Archie but he's definitely right on this one

is there a dark room nearby you can go and lie down in?

If it was so idiotic to suggest, before the Huddersfield game, pushing Mcdonald forward to play alongside Davies in Hughes' absence then i hold my hands up!

my thinking was that Mcdonald has a greater physical presence and eye for goal than Smalley, who in my opinion is more suited to playing on the right.

  3. Ok LAD,sure i have seen that before(nevermind).I will heed your advice and get myself down to BP for the next home game.

Indeed just as i have for the last twenty eight years or so.

Would be a pleasure to meet you there :D

  4. :laught16::laught16::laught16::laught16::laught16:

Give it up Archie.....piss funny.....think you'll find McD played from MIDFIELD last night......I suggest you change your medication!!!

The thought of being wrong eh BB?

    too hard to stomach?

    You really are a beauty....

  5. If he has the chance to move up a level, the lad should take it!

Since coming in to the team Trotters has performed admirably and does seem to have a huge amount of potential.

I would love him to stay, but we really do need to strengthen the squad!

If selling him allows us to bring in two or three other players then i would wish the young man the best of luck and get on with developing our other talented youngsters

  6. Allott was awesome again.....player of the season so far. But I so want to give it McD though! The space our FB's pushing up gave through the middle (as their lads came out of position) was superbly exploited tonight for McD. And at times, he even looked like KK with the ball at his feet, passing it about a bit. Something I've been critical of as I've said before, he doesn't do it enough when other things aren't working for him. Tonight, he showed his whole game. Really struggling to make my mind up on the MOTM!

Go on,give it to Mcdonald! even though you would rather knock him (and most posters you come into contact with) at every opportunity.Maybe he should have played up front before!!! (remember?)

Maybe you are not the football genius that you would have us all believe

  7. The problem we have at the moment is a lack of experience!

The three young lads,Smalley,Wolfie and Allessandra are good young players all of them.

Unfortunately,we can't afford to carry these kids, that is not a swipe at their ability but a statement of fact.

Shez often speaks of the value of having Crossley behind his defence to both encourage and instruct them. These young forwards have nobody talking to/helping them(with the possible exception of Hughes!)

It is a fact that we miss experienced campaigners like Liddell and Gregan, these are the players who can bring the best out of the youngsters.

What we need to find hopefully within the next few days are a couple of very experienced players, who will hopefully provide a better balance of youth and knowledge of the game.

  8. i would of liked us to keep him as a squad player, like has been said the last 20 mins to run into the corners and make a bit of space for others.

shez was always going to get rid of moores players, every manager does it regardless of wether he brings in better players or not, just to prove a point.

bit unfair if he told him to wait knowing full well he wasnt keeping him,in an ordinary job you could take them to a tribunal over it.

if shez was to leave next season who ever comes in would replace all shez's signings, because it wouldnt be his team.

liddell isnt the answer,a young attacking winger is what we need, when was the last time liddell skinned anybody before crossing in for a goal.

When was the last time Beckham skinned anybody before crossing for a goal!

it is the quality of the cross/pass that matters, not the ability to run a sub 10 second 100 metres!!!

  9. Although i was a big fan of Warne,i still believe that the decision to release him was the right one!

Shez has replaced him with a much younger player in Davies(who has already notched as many goals as Warne scored last term, with half a season to play)

Given better all round team displays during the first half of this season i think that Davies would have scored more goals and contributed more to the team.

Maybe we need Liddel back,to provide better service for the strikers :tongue1:

  10. Ten men are often harder to play against. Plus we're mid-table, still within touch of the play-offs, and Shez is still to bring in some new faces. The world isn't coming to an end just yet!

I am not saying that it is all doom and gloom, merely making the point that todays performance was poor to say the least!

If and indeed when Shez brings new players into the squad we should hopefully see an improvement,as for the ten men today!for most of the game Brighton played with two forwards (hardly pulling everyone back behind the ball, was it!)

Still,Yeovil to look forward to next week....

  11. Today was a dreadful performance, apart from one moment of brilliance from Hughes we were a disgrace!

Against ten men for 80 minutes or whatever was,how many efforts did the Brighton keeper have to deal with?

Anyone who doubted the value of Kilkenny to the team/club should now realise that his departure has left us in serious trouble.

  12. No, but it is a reason for some inconsistency. He's just going through a bad patch that will hopefully end sooner than later.

Quite Garcon,a bad patch!how some fans can say that he is not interested or lazy is mind blowing.

Admittedly Davies has turned in a couple of below par performances recently but after Shez made the switch to 4-3-3,Davies was always going to be dragged out wide.

What we haven't been able to do recently is make the most of his pace by getting him in behind the oppo central defenders.

Also for some to suggest that we try to offload him in the transfer window amounts to shooting ourselves in both feet.

Play to his strenghths and Davies will shine!

  13. No-one is singling out anybody. It's an observation about a player over several performances.

Maybe the fact that we haven't one other creative footballer in the club other than KK makes his odd poor game stand out.without him in the team this season we would have been right at the bottom of the pile.

Show me an alternative and then maybe we could live without him .

  14. Never thought I would ever be saying this but for once I have to agree with Coco, no get loss if KK does one to Donny. Will get on well with Wellens both spend to much time whinging and having a go at the rest of the team.

I am with Coco too,(not) get a grip folks, you can't single out individuals for a totally inept team performance like we witnessed today.

  15. Whats gone wrong with Davies ?

He has showed little passion in last couple of home games.

Pace and the closing down of defenders are what his game is all about and with these missing he doesn't look a threat.

The partnership with Hughes is not working as both need a big man alongside them.

How ironic Ricketts could have been that man.

There is also the fact that the service to both Davies and Hughes has pretty much all season been dire!

    admittedly,today he didn't look interested!

Today Walsall were there for the taking! just shows how bad a display this was from the whole team.

Roll on Jan 1st,have had enough of this year.
