The issue is simply about showing some common courtesy to those who have paid decent money for a package that includes what I imagine would be a very brief post match chat with the man of the match. It doesn't matter if people in attendance are bothered about it or not, you still show up, probably still in your kit, do your 5-10 minutes then you can be on your way, nobody is asking them to drink the bar dry or sit down for a three course meal. I neither like nor dislike James Norwood or Micky Mellon and I certainly don't wish to see them fail.

What on earth are you going on about? You do go off on some weird tangents at times. Just show up, accept your award and say sorry I can't stop longer as I've got somewhere to be, it really isn't hard.

Has anybody suggested he was lying? It is the fact he couldn't give people who have paid good money to be there 5-10 minutes of his time and his arrogant dismissal of it that is the issue. But he's scored a few penalties so having good manners doesn't matter.

And some people try to defend the indefensible when it suits. You win MOTM, you show some courtesy and go and collect your award. I'm sure wherever he says he had to be could have waited for 10 minutes.
