  1. I think it's down to bad decisions made in terms of spending such as spending £2 million on players who haven't delivered such as Darius Henderson

They look as good as down after todays result

Sheff Utd's and Swindon's falls from grace since last season is pretty incredible really.

Micky Adams' record since going there is played 20, won 2, drew 4, lost 15.

  2. 1 win in 15 (and only 6 goals) is a worry, this squad is better than that and bad momentum is similar to good momentum as in it can carry you along. If we start badly next season (given our pisspoor budget) be afraid….

I do think people get pre-occupied with talk of budgets at times, I'd guess that all of the current bottom four would have a bigger wage bill than ours and the likes of Rochdale, Exeter and Hartlepool.

What does concern me a little looking ahead is that with the exception of Mvoto and possibly Evina, Dickov's forays into the market have been pretty awful.

  3. Daniel Pacheco is in talks with oldham over a season long loan.

Gosh, we'll be like the new Sheffield United under Warnock with all these strikers.

Abbott, Feeney, Eaves, Brooke, Alessandra, Dickov, Baxter, Pacheco plus our pick of Citeh's ressies....

  4. A few have been mentioned in the press Middlesbrough, Sheff Utd and Donnie have all had a look at him but this was last season. Middlesbrough wont be looking anymore as he isnt a jock.

I've got a few mates who've played in the same teams as him, they honestly can't believe he even managed to get to League 2, let alone going higher.

Although they did say the same thing about Pat McCourt, now plying his trade at Celtic.....!

  5. I haven't had the channels to follow it properly for a few years but am hoping to be able to catch more of it this year, albeit without the benefit of commentary that doesn;t make your ears bleed. Contador has to be a strong favourite, but it might be time for one or two younger riders to make a push on - as drug taking declines among the established ones some of the newer ones who don;t do it might start to come into it. Surely an extra year will have taken something out of Armstrong, I doubt he will challenge right at the top.

Andy Schleck must be a great each way bet at 7/1.

Will be interesting to see how Basso gets on, looked pretty strong in the Giro but winners of that don't have the best record in this.

  6. An old an ageing player who has no experience at this level or the quality and doggedness it involves for a few months, or secureing the services of a young quality player with the potential to go on and play at a higher level later in his career, know who i'd rather have long term.

Paul Scholes - arguably the best player to have played on these shores in the last 15 years.

:censored: - was struggling to get into a struggling division 3 team, bust up or no bust up.

  7. can't say its a real lost TBH.

So the guy option has gone, Nardiello ( I think) is he still injured and is he now a freebie? what about J J Price did he go back to Millwall and is he free too?

Would you want any of the other two back at BP?

Maybe Eaves/Brooke are going to fighting for the right to partner Pav?

    hmm..interesting times.

Nardiello a no-brainer for me, gave us a different dimension even in the short time he was here, would be delighted to see him back.

Although I suppose when Gannon becomes manager he'll want to bring Liam Dickinson in.......
