I used to work with a Portuguese guy who's surname is De Morais, and he used to pronounce it "Mo-rarsh" - like mirage, only with an o & a soft "g", so I'm plumping for this pronunciation. Liking Phil Morris though. Reminds me of when Celtic fans used to say Stan Petrov.

I can understand why people would baulk at the price - at face value, I do find it excessive, but seeing as Carlisle is £2 I'm quantifying it in my head as £25 for 2 games in 3 days at £12.50 each. Sounds a lot fairer that way!

Hats of to all concerned on this one. Great news and - prospectively - from a psychological p.o.v, great timing to announce this. Lets hope he stays focused - this is a massive season for him. It was worth noting that last year was probably Davies' first full season as a regular in his brief career, which most likely cultimated in some jaded performances around Xmas, New Year. A tough learning curve, but nevertheless a test passed with surprising gusto. This year, i expect him to be fitter. He has the potential to be a lethal asset at this level. Come on you bluuuuuuueeessss!!!!!

Excellent - so if on Tuesday someone wearing a pie stained 95-96 Dale away shirt approaches me wielding a butchers knife and asks me to pronounce one of above said words, I can slur away, thus leading the fool to wrongly believe I am indeed "from round 'eyur" Always one step ahead! ;)

Not sure as to the validity of this rumour given its surfaced in the NOTW, but i'd snap their feckin' hand off at this price - and some! From BBC Gossip column... "Blackburn will bid £3m for Oldham's Neal Eardley. (News of the World)"
