  1. shez wasnt alans manager at all... yes it was tta's that appointed him,and it was tta's that sacked him for underachievemt and lack of manager and man manager skills, and after being givin substantial backing and support for 3 years,he still under achieved and hasnt taken the club forward or progressed as the owners thought he would.

    the buck stops there,with them

just like with the players, the buck stops with the manager

You're wasting your time, he won't let it lie. It wasn't even his thread mate.

  2. I defy anyone who says that I would not be fit enough to drive my car at 9.00am after 5 pints the night before with a 11.00pm finish, nevermind 4! it's utter rubbish. I can promise you this, more out and out bad drivers will kill others in far greater numbers than the likes of me in my given senario. Get off ya boxes folks. Ones things for sure, if those drivers in my given senario are so deadly as being stated christ knows how many deaths every local rag would be reporting on.

More importantly mate..........what does Hells Bells look like in the flesh??

  3. I can honesty say with my hand on my heart that I have never driven in the morning when I have been out the night before. My job depends on my driving licence. Just isn't worth the risk or the consequences

Just ask Douglas Graham's Family or Arron & Ben Peak's Parents or the thousands of other family's that have been devastated by drunk drivers if they think he should get away with it.

The evidence is there that he was over the limit and should have been dealt with appropitately. However he is now free to go and do it again.

I think you should be on a law & order board mate - this is a football forum

  4. Not got away with it yet, the CPS have not ruled out Appealing against the JP's decision. I for one hope that they do appeal and are successfull in the appeal.

Drink Driving is one of the lowest things that a person can do. Everybody has a choice and Gregan's was to go out and have a few beers the night before, in the full knowledge he had a long(ish) trip to make the morning after. He made that choice and then made the Choice to drive the morning after again in the full knowledge that he could still be over the limit.

IMHO he deserves to be banned for 6 Months, that might teach him a lesson. He only has to look at his team mates and players from other clubs to see the devistation drink driving can cause. Nobody should ever get away with it.

I am a firm believer that the limit should be 0. Everybody has been or knows somebody who has been effected by the actions of a drink driver.

The choice is easy don't drink or have a pint and risk ruining somebodys life/family.

Don't think there has ever been a more self-righteously pious comment on here as this

  5. I would imagined as Cheif Executive he would have a massive say in all things latics... Not responsible for the running of the day to day football side...but certainly responsible for the overall performance of the club...

Just becuase he is an employee shouldnt take away blame when its right...

Look at the original post, its a rant against the players, your last post admits he ain't responsible for the playing side. You just love an argument.

  6. Another match in which our second half performance was not a patch on the first half. Before half-time, we were totally in charge. The players were obviously up for it and Whitaker (outstanding for 45 minutes) and Allott totally controlled midfield. After the interval, Orient brought on a left winger who gave Hazell a hard time (Rubes simply is not a full-back) and we just fell away. Even so a draw was the least we should have had. Their penalty was a terrible decision. If that was given, then we certainly should have had a penalty a few minutes later when Taylor was brought down. But it is baffling that a team which can play so well for 45 minutes can let things slide so easily.

In the first half, Whitaker was terrific and could easily have had a second goal with a good header. That was from a centre by Jones who worked well on the left with Westlake in the first half and used his pace and accurate crossing to create several chances. We really looked dangerous then. But all that mysteriously stopped in the second half. Westlake overall does not not look like a wide midfielder to me. Nor did Taylor look much cop today, a lot of work but nothing achieved with it.

Up front, Smalley and Alessandra worked their socks off but too often they were not physically strong enough to win or hold balls against the defenders and, to be honest, for all their good work, they rarely looked like scoring.

Over the 90 minutes, the most consistent and successful players were Gregan and Stam. Neither put a foot wrong, and Gregan in particular showed his class and was my MOM.

    Good balanced post - thanks.

  7. Or maybe drop an email with some constructive critisim...

Why do you view any negativity about the owners as a complete slam against them...and a want to get them out ???

I certainly dont want that! I do want them to run the football side of this business a bit better...

Fair enough if it's the owners, just wanted to know why anyone would want to blame Hardy or think he could do anything about it - he's an employee too.

  8. Joe said he had seen Latics only twice this season. With being out of work, I would have thought he would have been a regular at BP if that's where his heart is.

Come on! Imagine if he had been turning up every other home game, would look like he was desperate for a job and would have cast a shadow over Shez.

Damned if he had and now damned cos he didn't!

  9. .. an abridged version of Zigga Zagga... last I heard the full version was too long for the segment! Sure a few Joe Royle B&W armies will do for the ad returns....

Yep... we will be in the home kit.. with one possible exception....

thanks - good luck lads, enjoy the weekend! remember one of you will have to do the challenge and make a cock of himself!!

  10.

First - I'll go for 8. And I have the excuse of a still swolen, recently broken leg meaning I will have to use my weaker foot.

Second - under your name and picture Delfer is a name of players. As you post this builds up to less and less :censored: players. As a result of winning you will be able to choose any name you'd like to go here instead.

Good luck... well, not good luck as I want us to get more than 4!

Thanks - LOL - thats got to be the naffest prize since I won a postcard from Basil Brush as a 9 year old in a painting competition

  11. Well with sharp analysis like that I wonder why I went on Tuesday, spent 2 hours supporting the team, costs etc etc

3 stating the bleeding obvious points and a comment about Hughes on the right wing?

It was actually one of the funniest relaxed nights away supporting Latics with less tension and realistic expectations from the faithful.

    Get real
