  1. Oh for goodness sake get a bloody grip! He's had a pop again at a few people, probably spouting :censored:e to him again near the bench. I like his passion. This is his team, what would a new manager do now at the end of January?

    Yes there have been mistakes, I've got annoyed with his substitutions, but it's all subjective. So please keep some context.

    Once and for all will all the Shez out brigade please either shut up or bugger off down the road to join the premier league plastic know :censored: all fans who think they are so bleedin special.

    Rant over.

  2. Reubes has disappointed me the last few games, not looked to good. Gregan played well again today and didnt rise to thier number 22.

    Thier 22 should have been sent off at least twice. Ref must have said 'this is your first final warning, your second final warning, third final warning' etc.

    He didn't just "not rise" he used his experience to make their clown make stupid fouls, he went over but was up straight away. Proper footballer. Also wears black boots, and wouldn't be seen wearing gloves, even if it was -30

  3. Fair play to Shez I say, if it's true then anyone who has the neck to tell a Manager specifically, to stop bolloking one of his own team, deserves that kind of reply. He used to get frustrated with Warne, same scenario, the crowd loved the effort but Shez wanted more. If he decides Hughes needs it then he should give it.

    And remember they have to shout to be heard so a comment usually comes across as a bollocking. It's a bit like Harry Redknapp with Darren Bent - people need to stop being so bloody precious. It's a mans game, well it was!

  4. My god there's some :censored:e talked on here, Lomax looked extremely nervous and uncertain at the start of the game, but as the match wore on he did a little better and his confidence appeared to improve (he certainly did not have a good game as Stockport did not exactly have us with our backs to the wall)

    He is a very uncertain defender on either flank to me, for people to seriously and honestly think he is better than Eardley beggars belief.

    If Eardley had not been suspended he would have played at RB yesterday and will play ay RB on Tuesday, he is totally different class to Lomax in every aspect of his game.

    Here here

    Spot on mate. No offence to young Kelvin, probably a nice lad but he'll never be in Eardley's class

  5. Sorry but the whole idea is awful. It's so false and is probably a sad reflection of the music enjoyed by todays under 30's (a ball park figure) Our heritage songs are Mouldy old Dough and like it or not, the boys in blue. Our best terrace song, kind of unique to us is OWTB. they didn't name this site after it for nothing! You can't just invent a song, sorry. It's the thin end of the wedge, next we'll be back to Manchester North End ideas. We are what we are. Latics fans. we've got it for life.

    As for Aswad - well I've suffered some nonsense down the years but that is almost as bad as Ronnie Moore, Richard Butcher and Administration rolled into one. And don't get me going on Marching on together. Don't be jealous of those numpties having their own song, they're just simple yorkshire pillocks.

    Be original and don't try to create something artificial

  6. Forgive me to sticking to the football side of the discussion, but Hughes + Windass is the best front two we've had in years. They compliment each other. The problem here is that the provocative statement made by the founder of this thread has reeled some people in, big style! The clue is in his signature - don't get drawn in!

    More importantly we shouldn't get carried away with yesterday, just like we shouldn't have over re-acted last week. I'm reminded of a famous poem - here's an extract:

    If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;

    If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;

    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster

    And treat those two impostors just the same;

  7. Hughes is definitely going, he's was told by Corney three weeks ago that we have to sell him. The only stumbling block is the price. Doncaster wouldn't raise their first offer of £200,000, they obviously feel they've got Latics over a barrell after the Porter fiasco. He's not happy about it but he's already in the process of renting his house out in preparation for the move.

    Conjecture or fact? No sources named, surprise surprise. Sounds like more hearsay

  8. I can understand everyone's frustration but I think losing Hughes would be a massive blow. I don't think making deadlines is a sensible approach, just cutting your nose to spite your face. Hughes is going to leave it as long as he can, you can't blame him for that. i don't understand how if he doesn't go there is a risk to losing TTA? Fans getting emotional is all part of the game but lets keep some context here guys.

    For the record if he does go I reckon we won't replace him with anyone who scores as frequently, and I do think it will cost us promotion. Just my view.

  9. I listened to Broady and he was class. started by predicting a 3 nil win for us and it all went Pete Tong from there. He was brutally honest whilst still retaining a professional approach. He basically said that the back 4 hadn't turned up, mentioned the quality of their right winger and playing for pride in the 2nd half etc. He said what has been reflected, by the sensible majority, on here that it could have been more, although we could have scored too. He didn't slaughter Lomax but I guess he was a little surprised as many where that he wasn't put out of his misery at half time. He did say it was the worst he's seen in 20 years, but its only 3 points dropped - tomorrows another day and all that. Just hope he doesn't go back to comfort eating!

  10. I think it was a case of Shez reminding Hazell about his habit of the long hoof to which he is quite prone. Excellent defender but if he could play better passes and a bit more football then he'd playing at a much higher level. Wouldn't be a shock if we got a bid for him!

  11. Come on son. Read before you reply. I said can we drop Hughes?? meaning hes a top player. Also, i am saying if hughesey does could i dont think its the end of the world.

    Son? Sorry didn't realise you were an OAP apologies for the lack of respect. I did read your comment and still can't understand why you want to stir the :censored:. I understand that it was a rhetorical question, i just don't see why you don't understand why we need 4 decent strikers, who all have different qualities.

  12. Did anyone else see the potential in that partnership. I think he would make CD loads of chances with clever balls in behind the defence. I was really impressed by them 2 together last night. Saying that, Can we drop Hughsey ???

    So based on 15 minutes together you'd consider dropping Hughes? You're either mischief making, a dirty Leeds fan or still in nappies.
