  1. Alan Hardy is a remarkable asset for this club. He's not perfect but his comitment, insight, good negotiating skills and his willingness to listen have been of great importance in keeping the club alive. And the friendlinees of the club must owe a great deal to the Chief Executive. Players, journalists, officials all bear testimony to the warmth of the club and AH must take credit for ensuring that over a long period. He does consult wiyh supporters and often takes on board what is said and amends policies as a result. Not always - but that's consultation, it's about listening but not passing decision maling over to you, I or any lobby or group.

We don't know for certain what pressures have been put on the club by the Police and I hope that the club will review its statement. But this vilification of AH is as bad as boo boys having a go at a player. AH is Latics thru and thru. He wants this club to be as succesful as you or I do. end of.

I don't really have much of a problem with Alan Hardy tbh with you and i agree he has done some good work for the club but the fact remains that this particular statement has upset a lot of loyal latics fans who like Alan, only have the best interests of the club at heart. It's a complete smack in the face to everyone who wants the team to do well and is prepared to get up and sing about it. We all know how many times managers say how important it is for the fans to get behind the team especially at home, if our fans were a bit more vocal last season maybe we could of turned some of those 1-0 home defeats in to draws or victories like on Saturday instead of the countless defeats we had to endure.

I urge anyone from the club to say what they think is or isn't acceptable in the RRE.

Let's not have an Alan Hardy "good or bad" for the club debate.

  2. Can I just ask the ever so prissy Garcon and Senor Coconob if they ever break the law?

I mean do you ever park the car where you shouldn't, do 31 in a 30 zone, steal a pen from Argos, you get the idea?

Cos that'd be illegal, and golly gosh we shouldn't do illegal things should we, I know why don't you guys lay on buns, cakes and lashings of jolly ginger beer so everybody can have a smashing time next home game?

I can't believe people walked out because of swearing, I can believe they complained to the club, I bet there are a tiny minority of them and will be the sort of twee person who thinks that swearing is in some way a lack of education or verbal interest and quite honestly are :censored:ing lunatic.

From my view in the Chaddy there were acres of empty seats, just move you deeply sad people.

Can I also add that the response from Hardy, and it will be him behind it, is typically bonkers and over the top. I said to me Dad on Saturday about the obvious heavy handed tactics of stewards on Latics fans and why was nothing being done about Millwall? Obviously even with mass backup from GMP are still the same gutless spineless :censored:s they've always been.

Several years back there was a similar invective from the club about racist remarks and that any culprit making such remarks would be ejected. So next game some knob stands up in the middle of a block of herberts in the Chaddy and sings "stand up if you hate Pakis" 4 or 5 stewards witnessed this and the only action taken was to smirk! I mailed Hardy, nothing to do with me I'll pass it on he replied. So then Chief Steward replies, it never happened, he lied. He had the gall to tell me I was mistaken!

Why did I bother to complain? Well a few rows in front of me there was a wee boy with his Dad, obviously his first game ever. Mum had obviously packed his rucksack up and as he sat excitedly eating his crisps he took out one of those tiny cans of pop. Did the stewards react? Oh yes very heavy handedly, result one sobbing little lad and angry father. I asked why they could be "roughed up" by the yellow coated ones, yet the gob:censored:e in the middle of all the herberts escapes rebuke. Guess what the second incident never happened either.

That was the answer, I was lying, making it up and ok it was before TTA, but Hardy is still here and many of the stewards too, particularly those that strut about with walkie talkies. Its got nowt to do with owt except that I expect you chaps in the RRE will be on a hiding to nothing all season.

:censored:e thoughtless statement from the club, if you want a happy clappy backy slappy family club just say so change the name of the ground to Enid Blyton Park and the rest of us can all :censored: off now.

    :applause1:

Great post stipe, well said sir.

  3. It was even funnier walking back into the centre,as the 'YOOF'were walking back towards the ground in a menacing manner  looking for latics fans, only to part like the red sea as about six of us walked down the street

We had a few of these "dale yoof" asking us if we were oldham fans after the game, we simply replied yes and carried on walking laughing our heads off at one of them that had their jeans in tucked in their socks! I think they expected us to say no or something but tbh if they did try anything they would of soon run off as most of them were 6 stone pissed through. Silly little boys.

I wouldn't worry about some of the younger lads who wear stone island and all that, they'll soon get bored when they realise that the police will generally march them away after most games without the slightest bit of trouble. No room for scrapping at football games anymore.

  4. Woke up this morning just as angry about that arcticle on the site.....

Snap, this has really pissed me off. I'm fuming about it. I just don't understand why the club have released this statement at all. It's a fooking joke in my opinion.

I just ask myself why I bother. Let's cater for all the moaning old gits who just sit there with their arms folded complaining at someone or something but forget the fans who want to get an atmosphere going and give some support to the team. I was full of praise of the club after Saturday saying it was great that we can all sit in the RRE and have a sing song and a bit of banter with the away fans. Makes the whole experience more FUN which is the reason why I go to football.

Load of bollocks this and i'd like one of the directors to come on here and explain what "a bit of banter is". Just so i know in future....

As other people have said i will try to not block the view of fans in the disabled areas but as far as I'm concerned i will be trying to continue to promote the atmosphere like the one we had at home to the wall and if the club don't like it then i'll not bother with home games and go to all the away games, fook em.

  5. After reading that I just can't believe our own fans have made complaints about people who want to get off their old moaning arses and make a decent atmosphere at the club. I wish they would go and support another club.

We should all just follow their lead and shout "bloody hell Shez, sort em out" or "come on latics this is :censored:e" instead of actually singing and having a bit of banter with away fans.

Just on a note, what does everyone think "a bit of banter is"?

After sitting in the section next to the wall fans i thought that was just a bit of banter, Ok the occassional pie and plastic bottle went over but chirst alive, there were hardly bricks and seats flying about.

    NOTE TO SUPPORERS WHO COMPLAINED

GO TO THE MAIN STAND AND SIT THERE AND MOAN, I'M SURE YOU WILL JUST FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

    Pathetic.
